1. Join the biggest paid to forums (with GPF as the most important one). Insert the ref links of the programs you like into your signature.
2. Post a lot on the forums and be friendly to everyone, try to be funny, help out newbies, always tell the truth about the ptr's that are being discussed. 3. Open a thread about the program whenever there is news. Don't forget to praise when getting paid. 4. Make a webpage and don't just place your referral link, tell things about the program that everyone should know. Payout methods available, type of ads the program sends, how many on a normal day is it a slow and steady earner or a fast and furious program, does it runs contests, well mention that and above all be honest about what you like about the program or the PO. IMO 3 to 5 programs per page, I see a page with an endless list of referral links my mind goes blank and I click on by. Tell the viewer a little bit about yourself, I'm a Grandma, single Mom, student etc. people are more likely to sign up under people they have some type of connection with, if your a frequent poster on a forum mention it. 5. Send traffic to that page (point redemption, cheap banner impressions, autosurf hits, manual surf hits, link exchanging with friends...) 6. Send a mass mail to everyone you know (relatives, friends, ....) to motivate them to join the great world of PTR (with your own ref links of course). 7. Join the downline builders. 8. Make a good offer in the downline exchange folder. An offer that makes you earn and makes your referrals earn extra. 9. Try to find/make good deals for paid to signup offers. Some members will leave again after a while but some will also stay and even promote. 10. Follow the 'flow': it's very hard to attract members to a ptr that is almost never promoted by anyone (except when it's brand new of course...) 11. Work hard! The first results might be disappointing but don't give up on it... in the end you'll be happy you persevered... 12. Don't be disappointed with only a few signups at first, if one of them turns out to be a big promotor you're downline will grow like mad (this really happened to me, so great!!!) 13. Look for good (cheap but efficient) advertising deals on ptr websites 14. Check out if there are free upgrades available (when being very active for example or having gathered some amount of points) This post has been edited by Girly83: Jan 23 2006, 04:39 AM |

WOW, I think that summarizes it nicely, thanks :)
Am curious but asyou didn't mention it, you never buy any ads when you see good offers ? This post has been edited by sophieca: Jan 22 2006, 09:12 AM |

That's great! But I think the most effective is to advertise on other PTR websites.

Waw, Girly, I just don't have anything to reply. :D
You just mentioned everything, I do to get my referrals. :dirol: Ok, I would like to ad just one thing. Banner impressions are a little less effective, so if you have to use them, put the animated (blinking, flashing) banners, because almost nobody will notice them, if they are just there. The more they shine and blink, the more people will notice them, they have to call you to click them. :) This post has been edited by CrazyclickerCrazyclicker: Jan 23 2006, 08:17 AM |

Adjusted the list, thanks ;)
I thought it would be a nice idea to create such a list, because the 'how to build a downline?'-questions comes back very very often.... Keep 'm coming now... :P |

Ok, im pretty much new to this and i had a member here helping me out with that, but all these abreviations confuse me a little bit; my idea is to make sure i get paid to read (PTR?) programs and then build a downline. So i know how to make websites.. i just insert my website on those hits and thats it ? Another thing.. i have some points in sites where i can redeem for advertising; thing is im not sure how it works.. i put the link of my page there and then they send ads to people all over ? Sorry for such noob questions, but im a bit confused here. |

The idea is that you make a site of your own with the referral links to your favorite paid-to-read programs.
Then you promote your website. You can do this by redeeming points or cash if you want that you earn in the paid-to-read programs. If you log in into a ptr you'll find in the members area a place with all the redemption offers of a site. Feel free to add me on msn if it still isn't clear: girly83.com@hotmail.com |

I think this topic should be made sticky...i know people who constantly ask me to build downlines for them...now i can just say "read this and do it yourself" lol

Hi,
I wanted to ask Girly if we could add her list and a link to this thread in this section Learn GPT - tutorials and articles I know it is not very active but it would be the good opportunity to revive it a bit and put there basic informations like the one girly gave us and many others discussed all over the sections. Opinions ? Thanks :) Sophieca admin |

I have joined quite a few programs from banner impressions. A well-placed and nice-looking banner will catch my attention far better than an annoying flashing blinking one. I think some banners just jump out and beg to be clicked. Most of the time, the banners I click are one of Papy's, with that nice clean look and clever text of his.....;) |

If the banners are animated, I notice them before, but I'm sure other people notice the other banners too. I was testing the effectivity of the banners, I used to put the great designed non animated banner on the site, and I got only about 18 clicks from 10000 banner impressions. When I put animated flashing banner on the site, I got about 35 clicks from 10000 banner impressions. :o Just my expirience, i don't expect, that anybody will agree with me. :) |
