I'm sure many of the owners of the get-paid programs have this attitude (I don't, I really care that my members will make money!), but they shouldn't say what they think, especially to their members!

A member at the Clickety Cash forum asked why they don't lower their minimum payout to $25 from $50.

Here are a couple of excerpts from Fred Srocks reply:

"A program like this builds it's attractiveness on the seemingly large amount of money we give away. BUT we put that $50 requirement on the payout knowing darn well most people will give up before they reach it and we never have to pay it out."

"Here's the thing: the RealCash, RaffleCash and all the other goodies are the honey that attracts the flies. Only a few of those flies will turn out to be productive people who make you money. The rest are just looking for a free meal. We offer them a few crumbs because we know that SOME of them will turn out to be valuable, but we don't know which ones. I don't want to give away money - I want to make money. Lowering the payout threshhold would only attract more people whose only goal was to take our money, not make it for us. We'd have twice as many people to pay and not any more paying us."

The man just gets sleazier with each post. I just read an e.mail newsletter from ClickityCash, and the tone was kind of simpering--simultaneously insinuating that clicking is ok, but not what makes the real money...like he was trying to apologize for his earlier crass attitude but couldn't quite pull it off. He just focuses so much on the money, and so little on the traffic aspect of the site...I can't read anything he writes anymore without feeling like each word is lightly coated with slime.

the man sucks big time.
whoever wants to stay and get insulted by him can stay. i'm not going to click away to make his fat a@&! money. he can make it himself.

seriously, one of the best places i have found to advertise is askmiky. they have a chat room, you can advertise 15URL's, they have competitions and they respond back really quickly with any enquiries. they're NICE and they HELP - unlike fred.

at least on this site making money is a little more realistic.

Moderator Note: i removed your member signs from the links, the links still work.

i agree w/ everyone. i haven't been to his site in a long time and i don't plan to anymore except to unsubscribe. i've been concentrating mainly on clickthru right now. i like the fact that they pay you, even in check  each click is worth money, and payout is $10 plus fee. i'll be there in about a week  i'll be sure to let everyone know when i get the check!

Hey guys, I updated my signature because I downgraded my Angelfire account, and I haven't gotten around to uploading my banner at my other site.
But I'm not seeing my udated sig. I'm seeing that Angelfire thingie, you know, this image hosted by Angelfire. When I go back in my profile, the updated sig is there.
What do the rest of you see?
Maybe I'm losing it...

freeandeasy
Never mind! The updated sig is there now.
cheese
you can link it by adding [ url ] before the link and [ /url ] after the link, just minus the spaces. or you can have just the name there and have that linked. for instance [ url=http://www.freeandeasyonline.com ] FreeAndEasyOnline [ /url ] again w/out the spaces. just an idea

Well, I hate to be the only one who disagrees but what Fred said is the basis of most affiliate programs, although he could have put it in a less crass way. Does that make all affiliate programs dishonest? No, it means that you will not make much money if you do not make some sort of long-term commitment. The fact that programs benefit from people who give up because they were looking for a fast buck doesn't make those programs dishonest. It means all those people still trying to make a fast buck have a lot to learn about commitment and its rewards.</end of speech>

I said even if he feels that way he shouldn't say it to his members.
And I for one don't want my members to give up! Not even one of them! I want ALL of them to reach payout as often as possible.
I have some long range plans that will bring them even more earnings, and I'm giving up earnings that should be mine (like non-paid mails and much more) because I want my members to have more! That's why I have a points system; that will make it easy to add extra money into my member's accounts that they did not directly earn.
Just as a very rough estimate, the points that my members have earned so far this month average around 3 cents each. Most of that comes from advertising sold that was NOT paid-email adverts.

BTW, why does surf4pay.org go to getpaidmore.com?

Well, if the members read what he said, they would be discourage and leave. It is not the people, but the attitude of some people. Especially the owners. People give up quickly not just because they are not making money, it is because they get discouraged that they tried so hard and they do not get rewarded for their efforts. I am starting to be discouraged myself.
in2travel
I agree with poncer and freeandeasy.
The man virtually called everyone morons. Some people are going to be successful and others aren't. The fact is that the rest of us clicking away there were making money for our uplines and for Fred. If you want to stick around if the program is successful for you surf4pay that's great. Not everyone can afford to pay what Fred is asking for to be a clickmaster. If I had that kind of money to invest, it would definitely be with someone who would be willing to teach me without the pompous attitude. People like that deserve to be knocked down a peg or two. There are other companies out there other than Clickitycash and the sooner Fred realizes that he has competition, the better off he'll be.
The sad fact is that a lot of people didn't even realize that they were being insulted and they're still there answering his questions and clicking. They're the ones I feel badly for. This is something that I feel really strongly about and Fred needs to grow up and stop throwing hissy fits to get his point across.
sultra
Okay, I thought Fred was reputable. But I am getting the drift here. What I ahve noticed personally as being a user, is that when I firt signed up to be a clickmaster becasue he would give me referralls I was getting them. (from him)

Now, I signed up on a MONTHLY basis again and have gotten nothing. Out of the referalls I have earned no commission and feel like I am wasting my money. Live and Learn I guess.

Wonder why???
Poncer
Well, thanks for the people who agree with what I said. People do not really agree with me at times. Glad I did not signed up with that program. When I first visited the place, I told myself that this looks a little shady for my taste. With all the complaints I am seeing now, I am glad I never joined period.
theraven
I do not use clickity cash anymore. First he will no longer let me promote the site I have been promoting there and then when I tried to use another site I got an error message saying that the site does not exist, so I tried another and got the same error message. I use Click Thru now and have had no problems with them and their support staff always answers my questions quickly and courtiously.
summersun
Well if that is all???
I think this mail i got this morning did it for me!

This message was sent by someone who gained access to this member's personal computer and got his ClickityCash account information. The intruder used that information to not only send
this email, but to change URLs on this member's account, convert his commissions to page views, and then ultimately cancelled this member's membership. The member who was attacked, Jeff
Stephenson, is one of our most productive people, with a downline of 1368 and earnings exceeding $5,200. Obviously, this was the work of someone set to destroy Jeff's involvement in ClickityCash.

Whoever hacked into Jeff's computer is an extremely* dangerous and clever individual, as Jeff has fairly sophisticated firewall and other
hacker-preventive software on his PC. Still, the individual responsible for this was successful in gaining access to Jeff's PC several times over
night.

It can not be stressed strongly enough for all of us to take whatever measures we can to protect our PC's from hackers. They can get into your
PC and steal your information for any program you belong to on the internet. Your involvement in ClickityCash is no more or less susceptible
to this kind of theft than any other program you may belong to.

In an attempt to insure that such activity can at least not send out messages like this again from our system, I have made a change to our mailing function - nothing will go out now until I have read it with my own eyes - and approved it. This will result in delays of your messages being sent sometimes - as I do not stay awake 24 hours a day and sometimes, I do things like go to a movie or to the grocery store.

I apologize for this having happened, but there was little more Jeff could have done to prevent this - his PC security is of the highest quality, yet still not good enough, apparently.

guess he's trying to be nice..

It is strange.
Jeff is my referrer, but I got no email

It gets up my back how HE CAN put exit pop ups on his site, but you can't have them on sites you promote through them.. That is not right!

Plus, the kind of thing that he said there is why a load of people turn to cheating, as thats what he is doing to people,

Hmm.. do you mean trying to be nice to you or to Jeff? Considering Jeff is one of his top referrers, and they seem to be friends, I don't think he'd (Fred) put Jeff down..then again, this is Fred we're talking about! LOL
ppprk
btw,Jeff doesn't have 1368 referrals
As far as I know,he has more than 6000 referrals.

Again.... SHYT! (correctly spelled wrong) I had mine hacked into and I have a firewall. It would have been logged. A chris emailed me claiming to be involved with CLickitycash. He wasn't and had all my account info. Turned him into his ISP and informed Fred. He sent me a kind reply. Okay, I don't want to pick on him, he's picked on enough. Anyhow, it was an issue. Not anymore.
