In all fairness, MOST (if not all) PTRs weed out people who don't have correct info in their profile.

Nile is giving you and everybody a chance to make their info correct.
In paid to read, to you are paid to read what is sent.
If you are not reading then why should you get paid?
It's like a comprehension and english test, and an attention test all at once.
There are a lot of people who just click and don't give a sh*t about the ads, they just want the money. Maybe if Nile got rid all of all those who obviously can't read or pay attention, then the wait time for payouyts would go down.
Just b/c you can click a bunch of links doesn't mean you deserve to get paid and that you have earned that.

Its really annoying, the scroll bars... I live in Hong Kong and only ONE ptr actually had Hong Kong as an option... I'm not going to waste my time sending an email to the wm and then go back and check the page and update my status because I'll probably forget to change it. I put China as the country of residence and if I get deleted for that I'll be mightly P*ssed.

Have you thought about contacting Nilecash.
Reason I ask this is because they DO have it in that email informing people to contact them if their country isnt listed.

Well then, EVERYONE READS the emails sent, right? (that is our job in this industry)
If everyone reads the emails, then there should not be one single member of NileCash getting deleted on Monday due to incorrect country info in their profile.
If anyone gets deleted for having incorrect country info, it will be their own fault.
Nile is giving us a whole week to get it done.
Now, if your country is not listed....I believe that is a different issue.
The PO is insisting that the correct country is selected.
In order to take any action as a result of this demand, the PO needs to make sure that ALL countries which are accepted into the program ARE LISTED in the drop down box.
If your country is not there, you can hardly be held responsible for that.
And if POs expect members to write to them and notify them that certain countries are missing.........well, they need to answer all emails immediately then to help the members resolve the situation.

and am very pleased to be a member there.
after all, it is one of the best programs.
but i can't resist the feeling i get
everytime i get their admin mails.
it always ends with:
you'll be deleted if you don't....
you'll be deleted if you don't....
sure it does force to me pay more attention,
but i think that's also the reason i don't quiet like the site

even when i do admit it's one of the best out there.

Geldwolfje, I most certainly hope you dont put just the two letters of your country in and then get deleted and come kicking and screaming here over it. I wont have ANY sympathy for you what so ever.
Maybe if you got yourself orientated on the CC scripts you MIGHT just start getting what the issue is of having your country filled out correctly. Considering they are boxes that need to be ticked WITHIN the admin area when an email is to be targetted, then those who dont have their country filled in correctly are going to be the ones who miss out on getting the emails, no one else.
If you come from France, you country is NOT any of these here; Fr FR FRENCH, or so on. It is France.
You get asked time and time again by WMs and it is half the time within the terms of the site to have your details correct.

Anyway, there are at least 20 boxes that need to be ticked when it comes to targetting search emails for the countries that only accept people from those countries to search. IF you have to go through and tick every box that looks remotely belonging to that country, it can be a headache to have to do.

This is the whole point I did not mention but I hoped others would figure out:
I Use an autofill form to put in the details.
So it is always the same.
When I enter the country name I put in Netherlands.
But when I checked my information yesterday, I was very surprised;
It was CHANGED by NILECASH INTO NL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is the new way to delete members as I mentioned.
I also get ###### by:
Do this or I delete you
Do that or I delete you
I Feel I was set up. Guess most people will not check and there they go off.

Unfortunatly Nilecash changed the coutryname, after I put in the correct one.
So I assumed it would be there, but Since I double check everything they do I found a strange surprise...The Countryname was changed, into NL.
SO this ain't funny annymore. This is serious....I guess anyone who read the admin mail and thinks I have placed the correvt name...well better doublecheck that.

Nile Cash can't even keep up with what they are doing now, do you really think they would have time to go around and change everyone's country just to delete them.... that's 11,000 members there... wouldn't you think that would take A LOT of time.
Now stop throwing around accusations unjustly.

So? How is that a problem?? It takes 2 seconds to go into your user info and make sure you have your country selected. As far as Nadiaasoma's complaint about the script being the reason we have to do it again, yes, but still... so what?? So now we are blaming the WM's for trying to fine-tune their sites and make them a little better? Don't whine about it, people! Just do it!

yeah actually sweden, belgium, germany, most like these will be ok, not too many abbreviations on them, really the worst are usa and china, and united kingdom

there is u.s.a, usa, united states, some dyslexics like i am without coffee (untied states) China (PRC) China (peoples republic of) China (ROC) U.K uk etc etc on and on, but the usa is the worst, in pbe there were literally 20 variations of it between punctuation, abbreviation and typos

I went yesterday to check my country and it said USA.
After I read in this forum that it was not supposed to be letters, a few minutes ago I just went back to check it again. This would make the third time I checked it and I thought that I was being paranoid, but when I checked it this third time - it was blank
So I clicked on the United States - but I am quite upset about this. My information was filled out and it has been filled out since I joined the program. There was no ambiguity in what was there. I followed the directions when I filled out the form. I have been waiting on payout for over a month now.
Am I going to have to go back into my information again later today to make sure that it is there so I don't get deleted? Will it have mysteriously disappeared again?

That is what happened to me as well. And that is why I opened the topic.

If Nilecash would have answred like any normal program I would have mailed them, but they don't And there is only 7 days to get your info corrected. So if you read this and you are member please check your country info since it might not be there anymore.
oh and those people who say I am not a member from Nilecash..
How would I know this?

It's not just Nile that's doing it, other po's are doing it too, right now.
They are abusing their power!
Can we say, when we are not paid within a week we will delete you?
We can't do that.
They are getting verry nasty and I think that we should praise the ones that stay at a normal polite level.

This is not specifically directed at Nile but I also had a very distrubing experience.
2 different sites that I am a member of and have previously received payment from must have recently upgraded the scripts. I am not 100% sure that an email wasn't sent, we do get so many of them, but I do check whenever I get one.
The bulk of my info was correct, However, my address was off it had 4 numbers instead of 3 and they were NOWHERE near my real one. The country was listed as some other "C" country, not Canada. And more importantly, my paypal address was changed. I have 2 numbers in my paypal address, they were gone.
ie: Me92@yahoo.com was changed to me@yahoo.com.
Now, I don't think it was a hacker...they'd have changed the paypal info to their own. I don't think the hacker managed to get an email that yahoo wouldn't even give to me when i first asked for it, lol.
More importantly. my pw hadn't been changed.
I suppose it could have been a prank hacker but that doesn't seem very likely either.
The reason I was in the accounts was to delete myself, which I did, after changing all the info. I whipped off an email to each of the WM but haven'theard anything back from them.
Moral of the story....either the scripts have some odd glitch or there's a prankster loose. Either way, check your info even if you KNOW it's correct.

seriously think they would do this with a database of over 11,000 members?! Do you have any idea how much time that would take? It wouldn't be worth the effort! Personally, if the country name was changed by changing the script, that's a problem with the script, not the WM.

I still think webmasters have the right to delete members if they don't respect the rules and I think the introduction of correct info regarding your adress and country are in the rules... So, they are 100% right!

I have been very vocal about my problems with NileCash. Everyone knows what Im talking about so no need to go into it again.
But there is not a chance in HADES that Kath or Chris have gone into the database just to change a few peoples countries or payment options around. That is just plain ridiculous to even suggest. Im quite sure they have better things to do with there time than try to do something like that. It has to be a problem with the recent upgrade. So just check and make sure your info is correct once in a while. You should be doing that anyways.

ok, i guess they got me too. i'm in the USA. i initially filled out the correct country, i've got no reason not to. but when i got the email yesterday i double checked just to make sure and yes, it still said United States.
so here i am today poking around at the forum. i read this thread and got a bit nervous & decided to check again. GUESS WHAT? i've got no country listed even though it was correct yesterday.
i am not one who leaps to the conclusion that Nile is doing this to try to get rid of members. but i do find it quite surprising that i would have been deleted had i not triple checked my acct.
perhaps i should let this serve as notice.

i will not continue to re-check my acct for fear that my personal information will mysteriously change on it's own again and i will be deleted for what is not my fault. i have complied with the request to make sure my user info is correct twice now. it is correct at this time. if my user info is changed, it will not be me who has changed it. furthermore, i will not be held responsible for any possible hackings, script errors/updates, or admin errors that may cause my user info to be changed without my knowledge and/or permission.

I selected US in the country drop down yesterday and when I checked today, I had to do it again. I clicked save changes both times.
User name is: Judy. I don't know if it's a script error or what. Just want everything to be correct.

The recent upgrade to the script included a list of countries.
This happened the day after I spent quite a bit of time creating my own country list.
So we put in our country list, then a few hours later, when Chris did the script update, the country list changed again. Talk about bad timing. All the work Chris and I did on our own country list, only to find that if we had held off for a day, we wouldn't have had to worry about it at all

All of the sites that use CC scripts and do the upgrade will have the same country list.
Nobody is going to be deleted - we'll send out another email soon to let everyone know that if they went in to change their information right away, it needs to be double-checked. And honestly it doesn't matter anymore anyway - the new country list means we can send mail only to those members that have a valid country listed - anyone who still has fsdfdsa or something similar listed as a country is going to find that they're not getting a lot of mail from us from now on.

Sorry for having to shout that out like that, but some people on here seem to like stiring up trouble by blaming the WMs for everything that happens, including their own illnesses. When half the time it is something that is beyond their control.

ciobitud, your country was the same in every list - it's just the people who either had invalid country names, or an abbreviation or something.
There isn't many other ways to state Belgium on the list, but for the US for example: USA, US, U.S., U.S.A., United States, United States of America, etc. etc. - this is one of the reasons we decided to create the drop-down box - if we're targeting an email to the US, it saves time to check just one box, and it makes our maler page a lot more neat and orderly now. As well, with the box, we don't have two columns of countries with names such as fdhwio or 432789.

I certainly wasn't blaming anybody but there is no denying the circumstances that I had just checked my user information twice, including after the email came out saying that we would be deleted if the information was not correct. I don't think anyone would have said a word about it if we were not under the threat of deletion.
It had happened before in other programs when scripts had been updated. I had done a "harumph", filled in my information and went about my business, complaining to no one - not even commenting. But the threat of deletion under these circumstances was entirely something else.

I like NileCash and have been paid twice by them. My current payment request is over 30 days now but I have every confidence that I will be paid. The idea of having been deleted is very chilling, however.

We didn't realize what would happen to the countries with the script upgrade. Of course we will not delete people now, when many went in to change their country and then the script update screwed everything up. The only people that will have their accounts deleted are those that still list their country as fdhjdfk or something like that. I think I mentioned this in a post somewhere above.
