Ok I was just wondering if anyone else think that something does not sound right with readpay.

I have been a member for 5mths
Have not been able to logon sence I got a referral
Only recieved 2 emails
Both requires personal information and sign up
Lotterypay is the first email and it is a lot like Readpay--stats never change no answer from emails--I have sent several
I changed my Paypal Info after I signed up for LotteryPay--they said there was a fee and I paid it but my Pay Pal account had no record of this transaction which tells me that the link to pay might have been a paypal clone and they got my paypal account info as well as password for later use
Now they send the below email
NOTE--If you did sign up for this I would not send any Blockbuster reciepts they contain your member info and Blockbuster points can be sold on ebay or at the freebie website..ie..they are valuable. Also some reciepts contain your credit card number which is all you need to use it on the net. If they have all of your personal info as well as your member info they could easily get a renting card in your name and collect some movies. It just does not seem on the up and up.
And you sign up for it at their site so you know that it is their program, and for only their gain.
Meaning I could see Blockbuster offering something like that or a school fundraiser but a GPTC Site?
It is weird to me and if anyone thinks I am wrong I would love for you to prove it to me I cannot talk to the wm.

Copy of email from Readpay
The company Moviemob wants to hire you and other Readpay members to watch movies. You will have an opportunity to earn as high as $2000 or more weekly if you rent certain movies from the video store and convince your friends and relatives to rent the same movies as well.

What will you have to do?

The system is very simple to follow. It is designed for anyone to be able to follow it and earn money. Yes, this is a job, but it is a very fun job. You will not be selling anything. There are only two simple requirements:

A. You will be responsible for renting a certain DVD movie and you will also have to convince your friends or relatives to rent the same movie from the video store. Since your friends will be doing you a favor, you should not have a problem convincing them to rent that movie.

B. You will collect the rental transaction receipts from your friends, include your receipt and mail them to Moviemob in order to get credit towards your salary.

How will you be paid?

A. You will be paid according to the number of receipts that you mail in each week. Whenever you rent a movie from the video store, you are always given a receipt for the transaction. You will have to mail in the receipts as proof that you have done your job for that week. The levels of compensation are broken down into four levels. Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

B. Here is the breakdown of the different levels:

Bronze level employees are those who submit between 1 and 2 receipts per week.
Gold level employees are those who submit between 3 and 5 receipts per week.
Silver level employees are those who submit between 6 and 8 receipts per week.
Platinum level employees are those who submit between 9 and 11 receipts per week.

*Yes, your level changes each week depending on the number of receipts you submit for the particular week.

C. Here is how the employees in the different levels are paid or compensated.

Bronze level employees are paid 1/4 of the full salary.
Gold level employees are paid 1/3 of the full salary.
Silver level employees are paid 1/2 of the full salary.
Platinum level employees are paid 100% of full salary.

D. Salary payments will be made to you via Paypal, Check or direct deposit into your bank account.

What exactly is Full Salary and what is your role in this whole thing?

Full salary max can go up to $2,000 per week. Anything additional is considered a bonus. It is contingent on how many rentals are generated during the second through ninth weeks of the DVD video rental release.

Your role is best defined as a ?Product demand stimulator?. You will be one of the individuals who are responsible for renting out the initial supply of DVD/Video and also getting your friends or family to rent the DVD/video during the 1st and 2nd weeks of release to stimulate artificial demand. This artificial demand forces the video stores to stock 10 to 15 times more of the DVD to coincide with the studio?s marketing campaign during the second, third and fourth weeks that the video is in release.

The new venture involves a bold plan to dominate the DVD/Video rental entertainment industry. You will have an opportunity to make a lot of money being a part of this organization.

Moviemob will be promoting 52 new DVD/VIDEO films over the next year. The goal will be to release 1 new film per week. These films will be distributed through Blockbuster Video store, Wal-Mart, Hollywood video store, Movie Gallery video store, Rogers Video, and other video stores world wide. Obviously you have to be a member of a video rental store to participate. Furthermore, you have to make sure that the friends and family members you are going to use to help you are also members of video rental stores as well. This is all very easy because it is always free to be a member of a video store. We recommend Blockbuster, Hollywood video and Movie Gallery because they are everywhere and are likely to be the first to have our DVD/Videos in their stores first...

How do you get started?

It is very easy to get started. All you have to do is register at moviemob website by clicking on the link below. Their website is not yet fully completed, but this is the pre-registration period. Please register immediately to get started.

Not only is ReadPay basically a scam, but they are PROMOTING scams! The operation described in the letter above - see turbo6t's post - is actually verging on illegal!

'Your role is best defined as a ?Product demand stimulator?. I believe that if someone were to research the subject of ''unfair marketing practices'', they would find this type of activity to be a MAJOR item in the list.

Regardless, I would recommend that NO ONE ever sign up for something like this, as eventually some agency will come along and ... that's all she wrote folks! Additionally, by actively participating in such activity, you and your friends could be subject to civil and criminal penalties yourselves!

I am SO annoyed right now ticked.gif laugh.gif
Its been almost a year since I CLOSED my account with readpay and just now I recieved an email from them wanting me to buy some kind of stock or whatever.
They had owed me quite a bit of money in the past and would not pay, nor would they ever respond to my emails. And Now they are sending me emails again????
I can't believe they have the NERVE to spam me, making it look like I am still a member. Which I looked at my balance and it is so conviently set to $0.00 now.
They are So full of it! I tried sending them a message through their contact page and of course it doesn't work, I tried sending them a email through their support addy, which of course doesn't work, which I guess is a good thing for them, my messages weren't very nice. blushing.gif
So I AGAIN deleted my account. but since I already done this before, I am sure it probably won't Stay deleted. wallbash.gif
Anyways, sorry, I had to vent... rofl.gif
