Hi.. It seems ebay is a hot place for everyone to sell & buy. Is there anyone making a full time income from ebay? What are the good products to sell? Easy to acquire & cheap, but with pofit potential?

Thanks ~ aa.gif

Ebay for dummies for me! ao.gif

Im an ebay junkie............thats the main reason why I joined GPTR so I could have some extra spending cash.

Basicly the best thing to do is look around and find things that are HOT as in items, toys, colelctables that are discontinued. Go to your local pawn shop and then buy and sell online. Another key is to dress up how you sell your item. For example I sold a magic card for a total of 11.45 bucks canadian when others EXACTLY like it went typicaly for 8-9 bucks. Its all how you use your sales pitching skills. aa.gif

There have been books, guides, and tons of other information written on how to sell effectively on ebay.

If you have any questions regarding ebay policies, money transfers, payments, or anyhting else ebay related.....post them and ill awnser your question.

Cheers,

ok lets say I want to sell something...for ex. a computer ...and lets say I want to price it at $1000...does it get sold at $1000 or what? ah.gif

And when you put something on Ebay to sell...is it always sold? If not, what happens to it? Do you have to pay to sell something?

How much have you made on Ebay selling stuff? And what do you usually sell?

Do most people buy basically anything thats on sale?

Btw, Happy Birthday iceblink2! be.gif

Thanks GRL ae.gif

Ok lets take your example. In this situation I have a computer for sale and I would like it to go over 500 bucks. I have my account all setup and and im ready to roll.

First thing I gotta do is LIST the item. This if so that when you go to ebays site and search for "Dell computer, pentium 128 meg ram" you wil find my computer in a list of auctions. SO you gotta go throught ebays list cateogries and add your item.

After that you will have to set a time frame window for how long you want the auction to last. Anything from 1 day to I believe 6 days. Careful. Picking the longest time frame isnt allways as good as a idea as you think. Some time you want them to act on impulse. lol ac.gif

Once this is done you have to choose a starting bid ammount. I dont want my computer to go for any less then 500 bucks. So I would put the starting bid at 500 bucks. At this point in time you can also choose wether or not to use "BUY - IT - NOW" fuction on your auction. This means that a user can buy the item right away at a certain price. So lets say id be happy if my computer sold for 700 bucks. I would put buy it now at 700 bucks. As soon as a user clicks the buy it now button the auction has ended and he is the winner for that price.

When the auction ends (either with buy it now) or the winning bidder; its up to the seller and the buyer to arrange proper sales. Shipping is a cost that most ppl forget to remember when buying so my computer will have a large shpping cost added to the winning sale prices. Paypal , bidpay.com and checks are the most common formes of payment. Communication and politeness is key!

After I get my money and she gets the computer and we are both happy. We should leave some feedback. Feedback indicates how well the whole process went with the buyer or seller. you can leave 3 types./

1. Positive feedback
2. Negative Feedback
3. Neutral feedback (i used this once when my seller shipping a product but item wasnt as mint as it sounded) ar.gif

GRL hope this helps.............

I think one of the best products to sell on the Internet is information products because you don't have to worry about shipping and handling.

One of those sites offers 20 information products with Full-Resell Rights for only $1.75 each.

I might have a few more question but I'm gonna go check out Ebay again.

Hi Have you made any money/profit from doing this?

How do you 'ship' ebooks? via email? or what?
ezincomestreams
Yep, I have made a lot of money by doing this. These ebooks are written by famous Marketing experts so it's easy to sell them.

It takes about 5-10 seconds for the transaction if you use cable/DSL. And then you will be led to a download page. You can download all of those ebooks immediately from there.

This money machine works even while I sleep or on vacation...

It's cool and easy to setup.

hi, i can help you w/ this a little bit too.. my fiance is always buying and selling on ebay.. just think of it as an online auction house.. that's all it is..

if you put something up for bid, yes you have to pay a small fee... usually ranging from $0.60 to a couple dollars depending on how you want your add to look. if you want to add extra pictures, it costs a little, etc.

if no one bids on your item, you're still charged that small fee for placing your item on their site.

something iceblink didn't mention which i think is also important is that when and if people bid on your item, it's in increments.

say i want to sell a baseball card. i know it's worth about $20, but i don't care if i get less then that so i'll start my bidding at say.. oh... $5. now, if someone wants to bid on it, they want the price to stay low right?? so they'll bid $5.50. then someone else comes along and sees my add.. likes what he sees and wants to outbid this person that is willing to pay $5.50 for the card. but this new guy is willing to go a lot higher, so he'll put in a bid for $10.00. now if someone else wants to bid on this item, it's now up to $10.00.

the bidding can go on and on as long as people are still willing to pay that amount. the buy-it-now price is if you don't want the price to go any higher, you can put a buy-it-now option on it. for instance, i might put a buy-it-now price on the card for about $30. even if the card is still at $5 or $10, someone can click buy-it-now and pay the $30 and win the auction automatically.

there is also the reserve price. say i want people to bid on the card, but i don't want it to sell for less then $20. i'll put a reserve price on the card for $20 and start the bidding at $5. no one can win the auction for the card until the bidding goes over $20.. if it doesn't go over $20 by the time the auction is over, then the auction would be voided and i'd have to list the item over again..

if you have any more questions, let us know aa.gif

~cheese ao.gif
hope i helped a little and didn't confuse you!!!

Those ebooks are on the server I rent. I bought Full-Resell Rights for all of them so I can sell them. As soon as people pay for those products, they are able to download them right away. And then they can sell those ebooks to their customers on their websites. That's how this business works.

ClickBank.com is the company that handles all the transactions.
eBay itself does not handle transaction. Instead, PayPal or ClickBank are the companies that work behind. They have been online for years and trusted by thousands of merchants.

The downloading process is like you go to download.com, click on a software you want and download it for free. These ebooks are in high demand compare to free software at download.com so people have to pay to get them. That's the difference.

Sounds good! ab.gif

So Ballpark figure on how much you made from selling these ebooks? If you don't mind aj.gif And how long have you been doing this? be.gif

Thanx ac.gif

The earning of each month is vary.

Sometimes over 100 orders a month, average 70 orders/month.

The reason it's easy to sell is because people can get what they pay for right away. You see what I mean.

That's one of the reasons we use the Internet. aa.gif
iceblink2
yeah my friend used to make 1000s of bucks doing that. THe problem is tho that there are TOO many out there doing it. So the prices have to be lowered. When my friend did it it was new and interesting to people. Now people are more wary and want to be cheap about it.

So you can probably make some cash but dont get your hopes up.
