A couple of days ago I redeemed for an advert at (not naming names) for BrttyBucks.

Anyway, just going through my daily emails and what do I see?

Yes, my advert for BettyBucks, in the EXACT same email as someone elses advert for the same site am.gif and seeing as though mine is the second of the two adverts, I can't imagine I'm going to get any referrals from it.

I have seen several WMs do this and quite frankly, I don't think its on, whats the use in putting out adverts, if the same site is going to be placed in the same email.

I guess I just wasted a redemption!!!

Email the WM pointing this out perhaps they will send it out again????

But be polite in the email

gosh brian, that's gotta hurt, especially if the other person gets a good response.

maybe the program owner will run a makeup advert for ya???

This happens all the time on many programs that sent 5 or more links in one email. a couple days ago I redeemed points for a advertisement, and there was 2 in the same one and mine was second also ah.gif But The way you advertise sometimes counts, mine is a huge ad with proof of 40 payemnts of 7.50 in a little over a week. so if the person is reading the ads (yea some dont) then they may pick mine cause it shows the proof (maybe, I am hoping any way LOL) I haveadvertised a LOT in the past week and I must say my best results have come from mikes and payday, I get soime from the smaller ones and the advertising is cheaper or free with points so Ill take it, but I would much rather see my ad as the only one of its kind in one email, wish they would separate then to 2 emails because some sites send me 8 to 10 emails a day and each has a few multible ads, I can understand efc and sharedad cause people get payed if you click so it doenst matter but regular ads should not be duplicaTED IN ONE EMAIL.

i saw ur ad. and i was thinking too. . . will it be a good ad, if there's another ad of the same program in the same email. . .

but i really think thats not fair. . LOL! u shd email the wm and ask nicely for a re run!

well I don't know how much it matters if you're first or second in an email... although I don't agree with the same ads in the same email...we see the same ads over and over and over and over again and it just depends on the person clicking whether they will be joining at that exact moment... They say it takes a person approx 7 views of a program before they decide to join.

Hmm, can't say I agree with you there aj.gif

Look at it this way, say someone was wanting to join a site (say BettyBucks) and was just waiting to sign-up for the next advert, well the second ad would miss out.

Also, I myself think its the site itself that wins most sign-ups, as users will visit the site, see the ref levels, cashout, the general looks and feel of the site, etc, etc and then decide, once again the second advert will lose out.

As you say, we are seeing the same adverts over and over again and I just wish some WMs would have the same atitude as Austin the owner of WhatCash, he actually gets in touch with you should he receive several adverts for the same site you're running, to see if you still want it sent out.

I dont think its right either,

But look on this side of it... Its not always the first ad that gets the attention of a person.

I've been told repation is good...a person wont usually signup on the first ad they see...they will look at it...think about it ....then after seeing the ad 3, 4, 5, or more times...maybe even in the same email...then decide to sign up with the last advert that was posted.

So it could go both ways actually.

I have been wondering about that myself. I have seen ads for one program in particular where the paid ad was the same as the two bottom sponsor ads. To me that really makes no sense. But I can also understand when people run to promote the exact same site how that would happen. Not that promoting a site is a bad thing. Its just that how can a WM fix it if they get 50 ads for whatever.com
and only 10 ads for whenever.com. It is a problem but I dont know what a WM could do other than give everyone a solo mail?

this happened to me at PC Paid Clicks also... the person's ad was the first in the e-mail, so they probably got a better response than me, because I did not get any signups... pretty ticked ah.gif

The thing is, in Cash Crusader scripts, the email is first entered and saved, given a code. Then you have to go to the Send Mail manager, and enter the codes in.

So, while the email itself is being arranged, all of the links appear in code only.

Some people, like me, bunch together a few ads, then send them right away, so the content is relatively fresh in my mind, and if I notice duplicate advertisements I will separate them.

Some programs may just enter all the link info first, and then go to the mass mailer page, and set up all the links in emails, again only seeing those links as code numbers during the actual arranging of the email itself. There is no way to tell what is inside that link code without going BACK to another page and looking it up. (there are only so many spaces in the description line that you see in your member area, and I prefer to put the type of ad there, rather than the title of the program being promoted)

I for one am guilty as charged for putting multiple links in the same email. I don't like doing that I would love to put one link in each email period.

The problem for me is I am on older scripts that are in dire need of upgrading. I must make 18 sends of 1000 email addys for one emailing of ads. Depending on the server some days this can take hours to send out one email.

I am 2/3rds of the way to being able to upgrade the scripts at the site in question, so once it is upgraded the same ad in the same email should no longer be a problem as all emails will hopefully be solos.

I understand everyones frustration with multiple links in emails.

I wonder if other webmasters are finding themselves in the same boat, needing to send out multiple links due to time factors.

Try not to be to hard on them because I really don't think they do it intentionally. When you have lots of redemptions or ads to get out, your focus is on getting the emails out as soon as humanly possible.

I'd just like to add, I've been in contact with the site in question and they have appoligised and are sending out another ad as compensation. I guess I over-reated at first, but I've had that many problems getting ads out for BettyBucks, I just flipped my lid ad.gif

I try not to run the same links in the same mail. Once or twice the same proggy has gone out in the same night, but it's difficult when no one wants to wait to run their ads....what choice does a PO have but to run them the same day....but never in the same mail. I read one the other day that had four different ads for the same program in one email....I think this is wrong.

Do you mean one ad that's long or emails with a lot of links? just curious......

maybe we could ask webmasters for a solo ad option, worth more points... when i advertise at places that send more than one of the same ad i try to keep it short and eyecatching; ie: I've been PAID many times or AWESOME Webmaster.
