We have had to suspend all sites running these scripts at our hosting company hosting2nv - they are simply UNHOSTABLE.

The programmer has left major holes in the scripts - which is the reason i see that most createasite4u sites are hosting under his servers -

Two of these gptrs single handedly almost crashed our servers and gave it 3 days of damage. This server was a DUAL Xeon 2.4ghz 1gb DDR ram etc. One of the best servers out.

The scripts from those 2 sites spawned over 160 mysql connections that respawned no
matter what, possible cause is that they were persisant. It could take as long as a few days for everything to return to normal and all the processes to die by themselves (timeout) after running the scripts for even a few minutes.

The programmer really needs to do something about these scripts but doesnt seem to reply to emails.

i talk with him before, around 3 weeks ago, and he said he's going on vacation
so maybe he's not back from vacation yet?

Thane replied today and said he is working on a new version that reduces the mysql and that he is aware of the problem aa.gif

We had 3 of these sites hosted and they all had similar problems - i talked to other host managers and most of them had the same problems - though there were a couple of sites that didnt experience the problem.

moonlitsubmit i wonder why u dont have these problems - i dont really know much about these scripts but me and tech support couldnt find anyway to counter the open mysql problem.

we are aware that the sql database is running high and are in the
middle of rewriting the scripts to reduce the usage and fix the high
usage.

We do not have a ETA on this but it will be within 2 weeks as we have
to test it before we can release it to all of our sites.

We will gladly re-host the sites on our servers which have tried to
move to you, if you let the webmasters know.

I agree the mysql connections are a problem with the script, but you may want to investigate turning off persistant connections, and then reducing the mysql timeout so the mysql session end quickly once they go into a sleep state. We host a few of these at getpaidhosting.com without any major problems.

I would still highly recommend sticking with Cash Crusaders scripts, though..I've got one person switching scripts these week ab.gif

I've got better scripts than either createasite or cc scripts! They address all the security issues and work with fantastic speed - and no huge database build up either!! PM me if you want more information!

[B][COLOR=blue]I wish I had read this topic a couple of weeks ago, I and a friend have been running buckarooteam and we were not happy with the script so we purchased one from createasite4u after seeing their website, what a nightmare, neither of us have any programming knowledge, with the other script we were able to edit the content of our pages quite easily from the admin section.

The "help" to use the term loosely is practically non existent and all the content is wrong.

Could someone here email me with some SIMPLE instructions please?? I will be eternally grateful thanks.

I was using the hosting that Paul provides for the createasite4u scripts and I emailed thane hosting and he said that he does'nt host my script and when I ask paul who my host is he says that he is and then when the site goes down (on a regular bases) he says he's contacting the host....

So after realizing that there's something wierd and that in 2 months my site has gone down and had problems almost a dozen times I have switched hosts but I'm still using his script....

The kicker...

As soon as everything was transfered over my member count at the bottom of my pages stoped counting!! in my admin area its reading correctly but my member count is not and my host is not familiar with php scripts...

Does anybody have any advice for me??? We looked at the CRON and those settings are correct but I don't understand about the admin/data info and thats supposed to be set for 777 which I'm not sure if it is but I told my host and he said he set it but my member total is still not counting!!!

Please somebody help me!!! ah.gif

Thanks

At least that is the worst of your problems. Our script(createasite4u) stopped giving referral earnings, stopped giving members with no upline to upgraded members. Did not delete an upline from someone if the upline was deleted, many times sent double and triple emails to our members and the list goes on. We even tried to move hosts and then nothing wanted to work right then when we moved back it all magically worked again! We finally got a new script and are in love with it. Plus it had lifetime personal support from the person who writes the scripts. Not a reseller.

But try putting this in your bottom.php
We have <?php membertotal() ?> active members

it is what worked for us when we had createasite4u scripts

Strange, in my admin area and in all my pages the code is:

<?php membertotal(); ?>

If I take the ; out of the code in the pages should I also take it out in the admin area where they give you the code?

What script are you on?
TradeMaster
I just realized that even though my top and bottom.php are labeled .php if you go into edit it it start with html at the top and it does'nt have any of the script stuff really... it looks like there html pages labeled php pages...

Is that normal? Should it begin look similar to this:

<?php

// This script is copyrighted to Pullan Enterprises
// You are not allowed to copy this script
// If you modify this script you may not claim copyrights.
// You are not allowed to remove this header
// We will take legal action against all violators.

include("program.php");

include("top.php");
?>

or is this o.k?

<html>

<head>
<TITLE><?php echo $pname ?></TITLE>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<style>

And could that be why my member total is'nt reading? My membertotal code is in the index.php part which does have all that php code in the begging...but my top/bottom.php don't..

Sorry to bother you guys with this!!
