We have these programs that demand we speak English, they even send out cheat links or tell us to email them if we've read so far in the email. That's fine. I understand that. What I don't understand is how these same programs send out ads for sites that aren't in english! I realize WM's are busy and already have a lot on their plates, but is it too much to ask for the ads we have to view to be in the language that all participants of the program can read?

Yeah the other day, I read an e-mail that was in german...
I was able to catch the gist of it...clicked the link...and was taken to a german webpage...
since I only had to speak English, I didn't technically do anything wrong--though I do feel bad for the advertiser...

Well, of COURSE WM's aren't gonna turn down advertisers!! So what if we can't read the ad. They're making a sale. I happen to think THAT is cheating the member, wms'.
Much like clicking on an English written ad when you can't read English is "cheating", well so is selling and sending out a foreign language ad to a member base that you KNOW won't understand it.

I have refused more than one ad because it was not in English. My wonderful husband tests all the links before they are qued to run
So, if one gets past me it is because he messed up and said it was ok LOL. But true
We did have have one incident where Cosmic Weath had updated their scripts or something a while back and all their banners sent clickers to a porn site.
Oh was I UNTHRILLED to say the least since it was MY ref banner!
So, yes occasionally an ad may slip by - but for the most part we check ours. I actually had a MEMBER try to run an ad promoting the cheat software. It was called an "optimizer" needless to say one member had to submit to me another ad
have not yet caught this one using it.... but time will tell
