Admittedly, there's a truckload of stuff I don't understand about computers and IP addresses, so this probably looks like a really dumb question, but I can't figure out how this can happen (message received from search engine during paid search):

Security Error!!!
If you need more info please contact us
This error occures:
When More than 30 results are clicked from same IP in one day
When Click on result is made more then 1 hour after search
When Click on result was made from different IP than search

Search IP - Click IP: 152.163.189.66 - 152.163.188.162

Now how the heck could the IP's be different? They made it look like I pulled up the search on one computer and then ran to a different one to click the result! It's the same computer; how can the IP's differ?? ao.gif

It can be done as follows, I think ai.gif

1) make search, lose internet connection, get back internet connection (dialup/DSL/cable) with a different IP address provided by ISP and still have browser window open from prior connection.

Hey, nice avatar! ab.gif
Hmm, I can see how that would happen, but in this case, I didn't lose the connection...it was only a few seconds between clicking the original link and getting the error message...so I'm still confused.

I dunno...it seems strange...I got the same message from searchtimes...
I made 2 or 3 searches within an hour from 3 different search emails sent from gptr...and then that message appeared...maybe a glitch...I've never seen that before...

I think when they have 30 searches coming from the same IP within 24 hours they will not accept it anymore.
I have this one very often. I have a static IP, it will not work for me to disconnect.
If you have a dynamic IP you can disconnect and connect again, that's what teflonmail was trying to say.

i once clicked on a paid email
did a search
and was trying to open another website in another window.
i required to use a proxy , so i changed the settings
my ip ofcourse changed
i clicked the link after the ip changed and got the same errors; )
by the way, proxies are useful to avoid bans in getpaidforum and so on.
