Yes, this doesn't make any sense. One of those my mind wants to say this but my fingers typed that? They need a proof-reader.
lene
maybe they just mean that they'll also delete inactive members even if they have 20 or more in earnings?

I guess the word that makes me wonder is also like in addition to one is the other.. I don't know.. might be a typo.. When I posted this I emailed the webmaster to see if it was a typo or if it was a correct and accurate statement.. As soon as I hear back from him I will let you know.

There was talk about this at mec too and someone e-mailed the webmaster and got this as an answer:

hello,
we have members with referral earnings 20.00$ or more.
But this member with that referrals never click on paid link.(this is
inactive members)
WE MUST REACH CLICKTHRU RATIO 60%(with inactive members that is not
possibile)
We will delete all inactive members thats all.
We rather have 2000 members with 100 % click thru ratio than 100.000 with
10%click thru ratio.
Thanks
cent4all
P.S
We are paying automaticly when members reach 20.00$.
And we will never, never delete active members.

This is the exact point of debate I once brought up before when MulahMail was doing something similar...
Why bother to have any referral levels? Don't make all the builders do all the recruiting for you and delete them when they don't click...eh' hem!
For MLM's, there will ALWAYS be builders and users IMHO.
Just my 2 cents.
MulahMail
Hey jimbaum,

You wouldnt happen to own dirtcheapemail???
If you dont sorry for the mistake...

but if you are, then didnt I just receive about 5 or more
emails of you complaining about only 600 clicks????

Thats much better than having a clean base - NOT

And just for your information, my site will grow bigger
and stronger than most because mine is clean and
kept that way, as a matter of fact...I had 1300 members
after deleting INACTIVE, NON-PARTICIPATING members
and now am at almost 4000 again already...and thats
deleting bi-weekly.

So you can moan and groan all you want, but it is
whats best for my site and seeing lately, not only
cent4all has followed my steps...so did tombmailer,
I am assuming dirtcheap, and many more to come.

Why, because its ignorant to waste time and
server resources for people that dont participate.

I am the builder and I promote my own sites
at many places and offer members addt benefits...
to help recruit like my banner contest for instance.

All it takes is a brain, unfortunately some are lacking -
wont mention names!

Boy, that sounds real familiar, oh ummm, I said
something almost exactly like that myself.

Yes I am the owner. Inactivity is probably all of us webmaster's nightmare. However, my reason behind sending out the clean-up mailing was to make sure I wasn't carrying any bad accounts (I too was attacked by the so-called Chinese hackers). Hence all I required was one click in a 60-day period (this will probably change though).

However, I will NOT blatantly delete anyone's account, especially if they have any referrals because simply it is just not ethical to do so.
As I was brought into this industry by AllAdvantage - my only dream was to want a huge downline and have a residual income myself. Ever since, I have gotten pretty good as a builder and respect other builders out there.

All I can say is it is up to you how you want to run your site but you should have warned upfront when you launched your site. If I would've known, I would not have joined your program and would not have wasted time, money, effort, and bandwidth promoting your site.

Oh really, I couldve swore your email claimed that an advertiser
purchased a large amount of clicks, but only few members were participating.

Change to what?

So are you saying that it is ethical to join every program on the net and never participate on the sites and expect money every week...pretty lame if you ask me. Depends on what each believes is right and wrong...I believe what you are suggesting is very wrong, worse than me removing your acct!

You can build and participate both, am I wrong?

How could I have warned upfront when I have never been an owner of a PTR and did not know what to expect of my members when first launching?
But if I begin a new site, you can be sure my terms will be clear from the gitgo as I now know what this is all about and how it works.

I think thats a stupid comment because you were about to cash out and all was required of you was to click some links...thats your own fault, not mine.

Makes me think of that saying.....Stupid is as stupid does.
MulahMail
Also...

QUOTE
wasted time, money, effort, and bandwidth

That is exactly how I feel about sending links to inactive members.

And I got to thinking about my comment about building and participating both...ya know, I do have a certain member (plus a few others) that
really stand out from the others. He happens to be a member of this forum as well and he is definitely a PTR webmasters dream come true.

He does signup offers, scavenger hunts, my music trivia, and has lots and lots of referrals....so there is no excuse for not being able to do as he has.

Makes me happy when I think of the kind of person he must be
and Im proud to call him a ACTIVE BUILDER & PARTICIPATOR of MulahMail.

I don't see why someone would want to delete the account of someone who brought them lots of business by having a huge downline...Doesn't all the people he brought in more than make up for the fact that he's just one guy not clicking? None of my business, don't know you people, it just doesn't make sense to me. ak.gif

But see the problem is...its much more than 1 person
not clicking; otherwise, there would have never been an
issue to begin with.

And just 'cuz he's a webmaster, shouldnt give him
more priviledge and exempt him from the same rules
as other members have to abide??
