I want to make a banner for my search programs that dont have one...how do i do it?

I've used the blank banners from this site to make images for my site:

The Banner Store

They're free, as long as you link somewhere to them. What you do is download the picture file you like, and edit it in an image program. I even just use Paint to put my text on it

They put a little aextre text to your banner, I don?t personally like it because of that

great question for me... i am a graphic artist
Use Photoshop (usually $500), but you can get them illegally and Illustrator is great also. if you dont mind paying for them or getting them illegally, then they are great to use. they are both made by adobe. of course there are other programs out there like flash, but that is too hard to learn for a newbie getting into graphic design.
