Are they geared towards people with their own websites or can anyone join them and search on their own?

Most of new engines will take you even if you don`t have a site ae.gif
(or you only have free one at freewebs, geocities ect) aa.gif

But you aren`t alowed to search by yourself aj.gif
You need to promote them ac.gif

I agree with Sinisa...

I would make a free site with freewebs or someone and then maybe start a thread here on the GPF...people search for you and you search for them back. A link to my thread and my free search site with my engines is in my signature if you would like to see what I mean, or you can pm me if you have any other ?s!

Ann44 I'm feeling really generous today ae.gif

If you don't know how to build a site I'll help you out with getting one set up on a free web space provider. And to get you started I've got some extra redemptions...once you get your page set up I'll send a link or two out for you. No strings attached AT ALL. I just remember what it was like for me at first and want to see you have a good experience with this.

Just pm me if you want help. ac.gif

Ann44, most search engines work best when you have a website. If you don't have a website, and you're not confident building one, I think you should consider taking Tonya up on her VERY GENEROUS offer.

Many of the search engines have different rules, but there are quite a few that pay you for the searches you make, usually limited to 1-3 per day. If you're just getting started in GPT, its an easy way to earn a bit of cash, especially with the search engines that pay each month.

Good luck!

Cheers,

Wil

this search engine lets you search yourself and get paid (see #10 in TOS about self searching)
they also give ya .75 for joining and the payout is $5.00. ab.gif
