only because of the different topics i read here the last 2 days about MyECom: MEC-sites are again down since about 1 hr.!
No wonder that i can get down from my few hundred paid mails, when site is not running soooo often
And i also work fulltime so i normally have not much time myself to read the paid mails, just in those times MEC is down .... darn!

And if it is running again, no wonder that it gets slow because of high traffic, cuz everyone trys to use the chance, reading only a few of their mails .... lol!

Totally agree, there seems more downtime than uptime with MEC hosted sites.

i just went there, and logged in no problem.

it didn't get better the last 2 weeks ..... i really get tired of all this error messages like "Bad Gateway" or "Site could not be retrieved ..." or simply a blank site ..... grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I again had to delete lot of paid mails, cuz there was no (up-)time to read them.
I still have about 1,000 mails unread, but yesterday again the system was running so bad that i only could read maybe 20

MEC scripts are lousy including the referrals on 95Paid-Email. They need to fix these problems, or their will be nobody left to read any of these e-mails.

About the hosting, you are probably right. But, they just do not have enough people to work with hosting. So far, I only know John and Bitzz, are the people who work for MEC hosting, and they need to host about 200+ sites, that's why they seem to have a lot of problem. But, I am sure it will get better, because John will add another server.
About the script (maybe this is a bit off topic, since the topic is about hosting), it is not actually the mistake of the script. As what I know, through the script, the webmaster can control to put who under who as what he/she wants, that's why probably you lost some referrals in 95Paid-Email.

I think that if someone cannot work on 200+ sites shouldn't host all these sites.

If I were a webmaster, I would be very upset for having my site down once a day. Also prices aren't so low. You can find better offers on the web, just searching some moments.

I think that MEC is considered more of what should be considered.
If they improve their services I'll be ready to apologize, but now MEC hosting is one of the worst. I like the scripts (at least they're better than Frank ones) but not the hosting service.

Yes, ya right, it's a problem with the hosting cuz he's hosting so many gptre-programs and i think, the biggest problem is the mail-server, cuz (like it is in the nature of a downline-club) most mec-members are also members of this gptre-programs, so not only that the gptre-program owner sending daily 1000's of mails, but also mec-member recive this 1000's of mails.

John really should hurry to fix that problems, he already lose members daily (you can see it at member counter, not growing but going down and i bet that are not only 'inactive' members or they ARE inactive cuz of all this problems since at least the last 6 weeks!).

Earlier i really loved mec as a very good "get-paid-to-everything"-program, but after the last changes of rules it more and more looks like a "gptre-program-owner-sponsor-club"

Why? well, you now get double points, if you sell anything. That may sound nice in the first moment, but remember: payments to members are calculated from all earned points.
Let's say, we have 2 members, both earned 10.000 points from running the surfbar and one member sold 21,600 banner expressiones for $5. Earlier he got 5,000 points for that. So together this 2 ppl. earned 25,000 points. If the payment i.e. will calculated from $10 mec-earnings, that means, member 1 will get $4 and member 2 gets $6.
With the new rules member 2 will now get for his banner sales 10,000 points, so this 2 ppl. earned together 30,000 points and that means, member 1 only get a payment of $3,33 and member 2 gets $6,66

And now think about, who has the best chances to sell anything from the mec-offers? Right, those ppl. who send mails daily to their own members.
And they don't need to pay extra for their own advertisements, while "normal" members like i have to pay for, when running an eMail-ad.

For the Banner-Exchange you now only earn 10,000 points as long you don't sell (or buy yourself) any banner-exposures.

I only hope, john may read this and think a little bit about this.

That is bs on the webmaster on who they put who under who. Jay signed up under me using my referral link on his online forum under the referral link threads. I recruited him, and I deserve to have him and anybody else who joined under him. This would have been my very first program that I have so many people in my downline. 1 direct, and like 12 to 13 2nd level, and anybody else under them.
