Paid For E-Mail is another one...

Hello!

I'm Toni, the webmaster of inboxbucks.com and tlcemail.net, Inboxbucks was purchased about 4-5 months ago on Ebay. There were alot of cheaters, I mean alot. I went thru the member base for about 3 hours and 1/10 of the way thru it and over half had to be deleted. It was out of control! My orginal plan was to change the name and switch it to MEC. After some controversary over whether it could be done or not (due to the change in policy with CAC) MEC just wrote a whole new script for me instead of switiching it. So, now InBoxBucks is just sitting and not sure if I want to keep it. I have posted a few times about it being up for sale, anyone interested email me at webmaster@tlcemail.net.

Thanks

Toni, this kind of thing has happened repeatedly and has really tarnished the "Get Paid To" industry. It would also be a blot on the reputations of webmasters if you did not hide behind your anonymous identies. The script seems to be the same over and over again.

1) A business is started with not much more than big promises. There is no realistic business plan and probably little business experience or a real commitment to keeping the promises that were made. A lack of experience can be overcome with time and effort. A lack of integrity is fatal.

2) Original owner bails out without making the promised payments. There is almost never a notice to members and I have never seen an apology for the unkept promises or partial payments for the honest members.

3) New owner buys something that could barely be called a business for a song. Surprise! It was sold cheaply because it is not worth much. The new owner assumes none of the liabilities and does a poor job of communicating with the membership.

4) Too bad old members! The old owner won't pay and neither will the new owner. Maybe the new owner will call it a relaunch and give us the opportunity to repeat the whole cycle again. Of course our previous earnings are lost.

Long before there was an internet it was true that most businesses failed in the first few years. What seems lost is the old fashioned value of a person's word. On the internet there is no need to look a person in the eye when you have failed to keep your word and wasted so much of someone else's valuable time. I guess it is easier to live with your conscience when you don't have to look your victims in the eye.
