The program 2 friends and I were supposed to take over fell through.

Basically, I refuse to pay for part of the hosting, the advertising and be respsonsible
for a site that I am not an equal owner in.

So, now the one who feels the same way I do and I are planning on buying our own scripts
and launching our own site.

I would like info on who you all feel is the best host and the best scripts.

I'm still confused as to which scripts are the best.

Where do you recommend buying your program from?

Any advice on where to stay away from?

Thanks!

freeandeasy is right - CAC can't be beat. I've had no bugs with it so far, I get free updates, and the code is organized SOOO well. As a coder that's important when I want to add a new feature aa.gif

So Cash Crusader scripts are CC scripts? Are CAC scripts also cash crusader scripts?

I thought I had it figured out where CC scripts are Cash Crusader and CAC is something else.....

CAC has always made sense to be CaC/Cash Crusader, and CC also seems right so I would assume the tomato/tomato theme is up n about here, uh, that SOUNDS better than it looks typed, but hopefully you get my drift!

Ok-now I have some more questions.

With CC scripts can you send mail to a target audience? For example Women 18-54?
Or how about only to a certain region (say three states for example)?

What all is entailed with installing scripts?

And I have heard only about go-mama hosting. I have spoken to Mike re: Monster Web hosts as well.
Does anyone have experience with their hosting?

Thanks!

Yes you can send to a targeted audience.
Default categories that come with the script include countries and certain interest categories, but it's extremely easy to add more categories.

To install the script, you have to upload to public_html via ftp, then you have to configure config.inc, and you have to do the mysql database thingy.

That is all there is to installing scripts! av.gif

Man, the way some sites talk it is almost impossible unless you have a degree in nuclear engineering!

Hey, Metiff, we need to talk about this!

My only other question is, what all does the host have to have installed on their server for the scripts to run?

It's NOT as easy as it sounds.
Every time I try to install a script I crash the server. ao.gif
One of these days I AM going to get the hang of it!

I am glad to hear about the ability to target. I have spoken with a potential advertisers who is
wanting to target a few select audience types.

Ok-I have some ideas about layout, colors ect--freeandeasy can you catch me on yahoo?

Thanks!
