Take a look: http://www.dirtcheapemails.com/images/date.jpg

Adding a signup date to the member data has the following benefits to help curb cheating:

1) Know when a person signed up for inquiries ("my data is lost - when did you sign up?")
2) Perform a search on a certain day or month. For instance, search for "April" and find if anyone with similar info has signed up many times.
3) Cheaters tend to create multiple accounts on same days. This will help you distinguish if IP addresses are inconclusive.

If interested, write to James@dirtcheapemailsNOSPAM.com (remove NOSPAM).
The script modification is $2.00. You will have to be able to edit on your own with the instructions. 4 simple modifications.

Thank you,
James Otto

Looks like this function has been added to the new release from CAC.

Where can we get this modification?

Thanks

hey James,

I cant see tha CAC added this modification. I still can't see the joining date of members. May be I am going wrong somewhere.
Olive
The CAC signup date thing is there, but it doesn't work. Those of us with MEC have a signup date that works.

What I'd like to know is how to search for members who have no referrer.
I hope someone out there knows and would be kind enough to tell me.

Olive.

Olive,
I'm with MEC but I don't have the date on mine...how do I go about getting it?
Olive
This only works for the members who joined after you move to MEC.
The join dates can be found in cpanel.
It's listed in userdata.
You get the date and the time.

Olive.

I really like Jims Date fix

The join date in CAC CGI scripts is actually an accidental addition of half of one of my modifications. Long story.

Anyway, join date is part of my signup upgrade... see the CAC Mods thread.

From the looks of that pic it looks like DirtCheapEmails uses the old CAC script before they made the fix. That means he is over paying members.

I think this post was made so long ago that it was before the fix, but maybe I'm wrong.

Jay,

If you haven't already gotten a hold of me... email. Seems like a lot of your emails don't make it through.
