Since the operation of my CAC site. The number of spam and virus I recieve increase rapidly each day. Now I have at least 10 viurs a day, mostly Klez and a lot of spam.

wow! .. I thought I'm the only one, who receives so much viruses and spam .. but I guess I'm not alone in this world .. LOL!

yes loads and loads of spam and viruses.

Do you know that I receive about 120+ spam mail a day??
I am using Linux (Do not have enough money to buy a Window$ license). So, Virus is not problem for me.

the ones that really bug me are the ones I get a yahoo .. mailing lists that give you an opportunity to remove yourself but if you look at their TOS it says they can pass your email address on to others ... but I never signed upto anything in the first place, so how can they do that?

There are some lovely programs out there that are willing to sell your email address to mailing companies without your knowledge, then the mailing companies seem to have full privilidge to do with your email address as they will, as you didn't agree to any terms with them.

Also, I know with hotmail, they can search for people in categories etc., and once they have your addy they run away with it (so to speak). I guess its like receiving junk mail through the post, once your name appears on one mailing list of that calibur, it appears on them all.

The virus's are very sparce to be honest, but I do have a good virus filter up that puts them straight in the bin. The spam however, I have to clear out my wastebasket at least twice a day else my email client starts to scream at me. Blocking the addresses don't work either, as they rotate the sender addy .

it's 90k and soon as email is opened my anti-virus comes up (don't even have to open attachment) So beware of this one. I now have that address filtered to trash. Don't know where it came from since the email where I recieve it is PTR stuff and very rarely get any spam at all.

I get lots of virus emails - and that stupid BIG one is terrible the last week or so, dunno who it is..

I also get tons of spam.

I have several site addys, and EACH ONE gets about 5 a day, often more.

Drives me nuts. I tried using Outlook and my Norton went nuts, so I gave up.
