Hello

We recently announced HERE that the previous 'New Members' group would be excluded from using the PM system.

We also stated that we were looking into creating new initial groups for new members to help reduce the amount of Spam related signups and PM abuse.

With that in mind, we have now created those groups - quite a complicated set up procedure, but in the long-term it should be better for GPF and it's Members.

Firstly, the group 'New Members', being the default forum script could not be deleted or changed from being the lowest group. Because of this the group was renamed 'New Signup' and the associated permissions reduced so that members of this group can only see and access the Forum Rules, FAQ and Announcements and the new thread created for new signups HERE.

Members of this group contain ALL previous 'New Members' and to get back to their previous status, they will need to make just one post in the New Signups thread stating that they have Read and Understood the Forum Rules.

Another intermediate new group has been created - 'Probationer'. This has the same permissions as the former 'New Members' group but does not permit the use of the PM System.

The third new group is 'Newbie'. This replaces the old 'New Members' group and carries the same forum permissions - Members of this group CAN use the PM System, but still cannot use the Downline Builders. However, the promotion to 'Full Members' is now at 30 Quality Posts instead of 20.

W.E.F. Monday 19th April 2010 the 'Newbie' has been removed. Members that are currently 'Probationer' will be auto-promoted to 'Full Member' when they reach 5 posts.

How it works:

As stated, if you were a member of the former 'New Members' group, you will now be 'New Signup' regardless of how many posts you have. To get out of this, all you have to do is make one post in the thread HERE.

This will promote you to 'Probationer', again regardless of how many posts you have. The forum is now open to you in the same way as the former 'New Members' group apart from not being able to use the PM system. After a total of 10 Quality Posts, you will become a 'Newbie'. If you already have more than 10 posts, all you need to do is post once again in a section of the forum that posts accumulate (posts do not count in areas such as Newbie Section, Praises and Applause, etc) - this will promote you to 'Newbie'.

One further stage that only applies to members who have more than 5 posts but have not posted since the 'New Members' group was initiated well over a year ago - all you need to do is post one more time (after the above steps) to get back your 'Full Member' status.

Anyone that was previously 'Full Member' or above, including Program Owners etc. should not be affected by this.

REMEMBER!!

IF YOU CAN ONLY SEE THIS THREAD AND THE RULES/FAQ SECTIONS YOU MUST VISIT HERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO ACCESS THE REST OF THE BOARD.

Any queries should be directed to the Get Paid Forum Issues section.

Hello

We have decided to relax the rules regarding Post Counts to try and reduce the number of non-quality and/or Spam posts created by Members that are only concerned with accessing the Downline Builders etc.

With immediate effect, members of the user group 'Probationer' will be auto-promoted to 'Full Member' when they reach 5 posts. The group 'Newbie' has been discontinued. The group 'New Signups' will remain and the procedure is described in my post above.

The Downline Builders will now be accessible by 'Full Members' and above (as before) - the difference being that 'Full Member' status is now acheived at 5 posts instead of 30.

ALL sections of the forum now include Post Count Incrementation with the exception of 'Newbie Discussion', 'Introduce Yourself!', 'Praises and Applause' and the 'Chit Chat' areas. This does not mean that spamming or posting garbage is now acceptable, Forum Staff will be issuing Warnings for such offences. Too many warnings may lead to a full ban.

Hello

In a bid to encourage more posting and activity, we have now included Post Count Incrementation for ALL sections of this forum. The rules on Spam and other unacceptable posts still apply, but we are trying to relax some rules and move away from the focus that Staff and Members have on Post Counts.

Apart from the first 5 posts required to be promoted from 'Probationer' to 'Full Member' to gain full access to the forum, post count is pretty much worthless. Whilst we will not necessarily be taking any action against post count boosters, excessive and unnecessary garbage posts WILL be removed to preserve continuity and the value of threads.

I have been looking at other General Forum Rules and there is not really much that needs to be changed. On the whole, we are more relaxed than other forums since we made major changes a year or so ago and the remaining rules are mainly still required to protect the forum and it's users.

Of course we value input from Members and are willing to amend the rules if required - for this purpose, I have created a new thread in the 'Get Paid Forum Issues' section - Member Input.

Best Regards
