oops, I guess maybe this should be in General Discussion, since I am looking for reasoning....not necessarily complaining (yet)
Has anyone seen this?
Payout structure:
Membership 1$ 5$ 10$ 20$ 25$
Partner.........Monthly payout!
Platinum.... 10% 0% 0% 0% 0%
Gold.......... 20% 10% 0% 0% 0%
Silver......... 30% 20% 10% 0% 0%
Bronze.......40% 30% 20% 10% 0%
Member......50% 40% 30% 20% 0%
Sorry, the table didn't show up properly. Looking at the MEMBER row:
If I am a free member, and I earn $20.00 I have to give up 20% ($4.00) in order to get paid.
That means I only get $16 out of the $20 that I earned.
Earn $10....give up 30% ($3)
Earn $5....give up 40% ($2)
Earn $1....give up 50% (50cents)
These seem like outrageous fees to charge for cashout.
Does anyone have an explanation to help me understand why it is set up like this? Why these fees are needed?
Am I missing something?

LOL sapon....that's what I am thinking, but i just wanted to know if MAYBE there is some whacky reasoning behind all the fees
I mean one of the main pulling features on the main page of the site is $1 payout.
Then you find out you have to earn a whole $25 (as a Free or Bronze member) to cashout with no fees!

Ok, I may or may not be welcome here but I am going to say something. I know this webmaster - he is a very active member in all 6 of my programs. He has just bought this site and is preparing it for launch. He is no where near ready for launch yet - I do not know who is promoting it but they should not be at this point.
He just did figure out how to go into admin and prepare the ads and emails - however it will not allow him to send them yet.
So - before anyone goes flying off the handle here on Bruffy - I will speak up for him and say he is working day and night on his site to get everything ready to launch. I know this because I spend a lot of time talking him through some of it in messenger.
Please be patient with him - it is his first site and he is a young man trying to make something for himself in this world. Do not attack him yet - give him a chance to get his program up.
At leat he took your suggestion about buying a domain name and starting a brand new site - so give him time to get it ready before you start jumping on the slam bandwagon.

Hi, everybody
I wish gypsydad, jays, and many others would do this!
You look at it the wrong way!
i give the posseblity to redeem fast!
YOU DON'T HAVE TO REDEEM AT $1 !!!
no fee for $25 payout (member) like a lot of GPTR.
want to redeem faster with less/no fee's? UPGRADE then!
I received mixed mails, some love it(11), some hate it(3)....(don't forget you get negative comments more easy then positive, so i think its not that bad!)
those who hate it, well i don't think you thought about it well, think about it again and compare with other GPTR!
Greetings to all

That's why i putted the "fee's" link NEXT to it
or didn't you saw that? just looking for the things that you like?
so you didnt had to signup to see it!
I don't think it's false advertisment!

I looked at this site and passed it over cuz of the fees.
I can understand 10 % or even 15 BUT 50% is to high.. Thats unfair to your members. At 10 dollars you shouldnt have to pay 3 dollars to get what you are owed. Its just not ethical.
Gypsy may have a higher payout but you get 30 cents a day when its up and running. I doubt that you will send that much..
Dont misunderstand me im not dissing you or putting you down.. ITs just not very fair to members who worked hard for that money just for you to take alot back for no reason.
Just more money in the pocket of the owner.. i perfer it in my members pockets
good luck to you bruffy though.. Hope that members are more understanding then i am

like i said they dont have to redeem at $1!
payout without fee's is $25!!!
so you would be happy if i dropped the low redemptions and only let people redeem at $25?
well i prefer that my members have the chance to cash-out when they want not after a large fix amount!

Well, there's the fact that I can cash out at $5 or $10 or $20 at almost any other site out there and not pay a fee at all...whether I am free or paid member.
I did not slam this.....I came in here asking for people's explanations. I thought I may be missing something.
I replied to sapon's post by saying:"That's what I am thinking...."
THINKING......not saying it IS a ripoff.
I came here to get other people's input.
I specifically did not write to the WM for a reason.
And I edited my original post to say that I should have posted this in General Discussion.
Because it is a discussion about having to pay a webmaster in order to get our cash.
And Evelyn, defending your friends is an admirable thing.
Trying to help someone is just as admirable.
You did a good thing by coming here to speak up for him.

But I was not bashing.

All I can say at this point is thank God the government doesn't take that much out of my paycheck. I would be broke!
By the way....why can't you let people cash out at $10 with no fee?
You will let them cashout at $25 with no fee.
Why does it cost you more to send me a $10 PayPal payment than it costs to send me a $25 PayPal payment?
I don't see what you need that money for.
Why do you need to take $3 out of the money I earned?
And you say to cashout faster with LESS fees...I should upgrade?
So after I PAY to upgrade, then I have to PAY again to get the money I earned?
Even your upgrades still have fees attached (all except Partner).

I will put site profits back in to the site not all of it ofcourse i need to pay my server to!

ONE MORE TIME....
I DID NOT SAY YOUR SITE WAS BAD!
I was looking for input, and actually thought I might be misreading something.
I was considering joining and wanted to find out what others thought about it.
That is what this FORUM is for.
So we can communicate with eachother and exchange ideas and opinions.
And it is really too bad that someone promoted your site when you don't want it promoted yet, and are not even close to being ready to launch.
I do feel bad for you about that.........I am not a horrible person

Now i really got to say something
It takes time and time=money
Since when does taking maybe 5 mins at paypal to pay someone cost you 3 dollars. or 50 cents or whatever fee at that level
And why does it take MORE time when they have less amounts..
it doesnt
and its ridiculas to think it takes a person that much time to pay one member.
SOME sites have a 10% fee
thats all

your acting like it costs u so much to pay members. If you dont have the time or want then why did u open a site.. GREAT owner

hehe this shows how stupid people can be!
Ex: (otherweise they dont understand)
members earn 20$ a month - so cashout 20$ i have to pay them once!
members earn 20$ a month- cashout 1c ill have to pay the same member
2000 time's 1c if he wishes
so 2000 times 5 min= 10000 minutes (for 1 member)
the given numbers are to give you a better view (it seems you need it)

if you spend 5 minutes at PayPal to pay a person:
5 minutes x 12 = 1 hour.
12 x $3 = $36
You would get $36 to spend an hour paying 12 people $10 each?
$36 per hour....not to shabby.
My hubby is a manager at Motorola and doesn't make that much.
Hubby is in the wrong business I guess.

The issue is not the effective time i have to spend on it!
The meaning of it is that you would wait till normal payout!
however if you want to redeem faster yes it's an option!
options have to be paid for!
Cant you just be glad it's an option?
OPTION = you dont need to take it!
And Every gptr offers upgrade membership for less payout!!!
I dont think there will be a lot of people redeeming at 1,3 or 5 dollars.
it would be nice doh idd, but like i said thats not the meaning of it!
the 1$ payout is more to let people have the chance to check if im honest.
not to redeem (EX) $1 every week

I suppose we just have to agree to disagree on this one.
I do hope your program goes well.

It was not my intention to give your proggie a bad rep right off the bat. Like I said I was looking for input from others. I was really hoping that I read the table wrong on the site and someone could cyber slap me

I just got a ad for this program in one of my other gptr's. If it is not suppose to be ready for launch yet the webmaster may want to check into this.
BTW, when I clicked on the link that went to the website it simpley said $1 payout - I didn't see anything about fees for cashing out - of course it may have been in the terms I did not go so far as to read those.
But maybe he has changed his mind about those.

When I went to the site, right next to the part where it says $1.00 payout, there is the word "FEES".
It is in very light colored letters and it gets highlighted when you mouse over it.
If someone were just scanning the site quickly, they would miss it.
But it IS/was there .
I just went to the site and he has changed it, now it is in dark blue so it is more noticeable.
Everyone should be able to see it now.

Let's give Bruffy the time to work out minor details. This is his very first site and his very first shot at being a webmaster. So let's play nice and support him - when he sees that the fees do not need to be very high for him to be able to pay the hosting bill then he will make adjustments accordly.
As for his people skills - come on guys - English is his second tongue - like Fryskys. He has not fully mastered our language and slang so give him some room to goof there. I have to decipher many things he types on messenger but his heart is in the right places and a huh??? usually gets him to explain better. ADVERTISEMENT EDITED BY MODERATOR
Let's all hug and make up and be friends again. Smile, I would never have donethis if I did not care about you guys. This site is for YOU the webmasters of our GPT world.
And let's give Bruffy time to make adjustments accordingly ok?
Smile, hug someone out here loves you

To remove Dr. Pepper or any other liquid from a keyboard without frying it - remove cover and use anti static cleaning wipes.
Hope that helps - if you do this a keyboard will last nearly forever.
