Hi guys...I've never done any survey online so Im really a newbie in this field..forgive me if I'm asking something obvious... ap.gif

In these days I'm receiving some surveys from AdPaid but I've never been paid for any of them.
Very often survey start...I answer the questions and after a while it says that I'm not qualified for that..whaaaat??
First you make me answer your questions and after you say I'm not qualified??? bj.gif
What I'm doing wrong??Is it normal??
Untill now I've only wasted my time doing this ah.gif

Tnx for your help in advance...read you soon ac.gif

I usually doesn't take too long to be told you didn't qualify, but it is a pain when they make you answer a bunch of questions and then tell you to go away.

I used to like the surveys at Ad-Paid but haven't been getting paid for them lately so won't do them any more. I don't trust the Greenfield Online people who run those surveys as they say they have no record of me finishing the surveys yet I know I've done them. I do get credit for the surveys my downline do, so I guess they work for some folks...
RG2010
All of us who do online surveys have been down this road before.

First, there will always be at least few questions that will be asked known as a pre-qualifier. Usually this is nothing more than Asking you age, sex, location, and sometimes your income level.

You may actually have to answer those questions 2 or three times before you get routed to the actually survey.

Other times you will do those questions and run into what I like to call the BS qualifier. bj.gif

The survery company will start asking very detailed questions sometimes taking from 10 to 20 minutes of your time. Questions that only a dolt will not think the company is getting paid for anyway. Then they will give you the dreaded message "sorry you didn't qualify.

In English that means. "We got paid for asking you these question but you just wasted 10 to 20 minutes and aren't gonna get paid. Tough Luck Kid".

My suggestion is too keep track of the companies that do this. If the company has a habit of handing out these "BS qualifiers", I would suggest either complaining to them or just avoid these companies and find another survey company to deal with.

Oh, keep in mind, you need be keeping track of the actually company of the survey you are doing. Sometimes your first click will be for Greenfield Online, only to be rerouted 2 or maybe even 3 times until you see the actually surveyor.

Another issue the really bugs me is actually survey lengths.

Have you ever started a 15 minutes survey only for it to end up taking 30 minutes or more to complete. All of a sudden that $1 you were gonna get for 15 minutes of work ends up taking 3 times as long to complete. Instead of wasting your time you could have done an actually REAL 15 minute survey for $50 and done better.

That happens way to often in my mind. I have complained about this from time to time. Maybe the next time I will demand they pay me more since they misrepresented the actually length of the survey. Probably won't do much good. But, I can try at least.

This is exactly what is happening to me...thats why I was worried about doing something wrong.
Thank you so much for your answer..Im not sure that I'll keep trying to do them anymore!
It's definitely not fair to let me answer some questions (and not just about myself...even about what the survey was focused on!) and later put me out. In this way they take what they need and dont rewards us am.gif

Tnx for your helpful answer too.
Well the problem here is that the company is not always the same...AdPaid starts using "surveyrouter" or something similar. I fill this long and boring form...then I'm redirected to the real survey (very often a different company).
So there is no way to know in advance what company is the survey from :S

Abouth lengths...maybe Im blind...but I've never seen around an hint about how long it will take and unfortunately I've never been able to complete one survey...so I really have no idea...lol

Anyway...the more I read your opinions..the more I think that probably it's not worth at all...expecially with the value given here (60 cents) ah.gif

A little update:
yesterday I went to the site with the idea of giving it a really last chance! As always happens...this never helps...lol
I cant believe but I have been able to complete my first survey after a loooong time as u know aa.gif

I think it should help a lot if we could build a public list of which one act honestly...so I just start.
The surveyor was Toluna ac.gif

Talking about my experience in Surveys, GlobalTestMarket is the only one I signed up with. I need to score 1000 Market points to reach the Payout. I received regular survey from them which made me to score 350 points very fast. Since then I am not getting any surveys at all. The ones I get are like 3 per month or even less than that. The sad point is, those 3 or 2 surveys say "I am not qualified" after I finish 9-10 pages of questions. SICK! I now start to understand, how these people make us fools!
ThisIsMyLife
Yes, this is one of the reasons why I dislike survey's I never get qualified for them even though I'm a U.S. Resident with descent demographics, it really just bites. 771.gif
lakshmi_i09
I have been paid by a survey site. aa.gif
But they offered only gift coupons instead of direct cash. So i left doing surveys.

This is the tricky thing about doing surveys.

Even if you only answer a few questions and don't qualify it is a bit disappointing.

You have to realize that you will have more misses than hits working with surveys companies.

However, the hits can be pretty nice sometimes.

I did a qualifying survey for $1 for a company. After completing that survey they asked me I would be willing to test a product for them.

I figured what the heck. I get a freebie after just getting paid for doing a survey.

Turns out that the product was something I liked which was even better.

On top of that, I was asked to do 2 follow up surveys for a cash reward on both.

So out of one $1 survey I got to freebies, and we are not talking a sample but real item, and two other guaranteed surveys for even more money.

The point I am making is you have to endure the duds in order to get a chance at bigger rewards.

Got it! Tnx.
Lets see if it works even in this case...AdPaid is just one of the many "men in the middle" between me and the surveyor.

Until now everything seems the same even if I've succesfully completed a survey (and to say it all I'm still waiting to get credited for it!Lol...it says 10 days max...lets see).
RG2010
Yeah,

That's one of the other issues that sometimes doesn't get mentioned.

Some survey sites are very slow to credit you for a survey.

That, thankfully, is not always the case.

Several of the sites I am involved with credit within 24 hours or even sooner. Although, I do run into a snag from even those sites from time to time.

Other ones are bad about crediting. I had one site E-mail me back that it can take 8 to 10 weeks for a survey to be reviewed and credited. Give me a break. If it is gonna take that long to verify the survey hire more freakin people to keep up with things.

Another told me it usually takes about 30 days. I am not terribly happy over waiting that long to get credit. But, it sure beats 8 to 10 weeks.

So Is there any survey program that is paying for real and is worth the time?
happygal
Absolutely, I am active with about 50 paid survey sites that really are that. Market research companies that send you actual surveys for you to complete for checks, paypal money or, occassionally, gift cards.

People like you are the sort of people that survey companies are looking for. It sucks that there are so many people that try to cheat surveys and whatnot, casting a bad name on the rest of us. You rock though ab.gif
RG2010
Eric,

First let me say sorry for not replying to your comment earlier than now.

Second I will quote what Happygals said before I continue with what I wish to add.

Couldn't figure how to quote both of you so I put your quote to remind of what you ask about and put HappyGal's comment in quotes.

"Absolutely, I am active with about 50 paid survey sites that really are that. Market research companies that send you actual surveys for you to complete for checks, paypal money or, occassionally, gift cards." -Happygal

Happygal is, indeed, right. My explanations of reality sometimes tend to look a bit pessimistic because most people will wax on about how great a program is without explain the pitfalls and negative issues that any money making situation will always have.

The reality is that, as I mentioned earlier, you will fail to get rewarded far more then you will succeed.

Does that mean you shouldn't do survey? Of course not.

I only mention that fact because I want make sure people understand what they are getting into before hand. That they have all the facts so they can make an informed decision before they get involved with doing survey's or an other of the programs that are mentioned here.

You will also have to deal with the other issues that I have mentioned as well.

It will take time for you to get an understanding of which survey companies are good and which ones should be avoided.

A little tip that might have already been mentioned this thread is don't get involved with a company that charges a few too get access to their survey information.

There might be a few that are reputable, but for the most part, these people are only doing the legwork of finding survey companies that you can do yourself. A lot of free info is on this site. Make use of it instead of paying someone.

That is if you actually come across a site that charges that is reputable. I would say the vast majority of the sites that charge to give you a "good" list of survey companies are people who have done nothing but spent a few minutes searching for survey lists on the internet. They do no research to see if the companies they are selling to you are reputable, or even still in existence.

Ok, I am getting gloomy and doomy again.

But, I don't think it can be metioned enough. DON'T PAY to work for a survey company!

As, I already mentioned I am involved with a few companies that are reputable. I wish I have time to juggle all the sites some people do so I could make a bit more cash.

I guess in time I will eventually find better ones along with others I will drop.

Just keep your eyes peeled for Survey sites there are mentioned here a lot and being put in the praise and applause section. That will give you a starting point.

Sionid,

I really am just trying to show both the good and the bad side of things so as to show a balanced picture.

There are good survey companies and there are bad ones.

I have had experience on both sides.

There are times when I spend 30 minutes taking a survey only to be told I didn't qualify. I of course realize at the point I was duped. There is no way you need 30 minutes to decide whether or not someone qualifies for a survey or not. If you can notmake a determination in 5 minutes whether or not a participant qualifies or not you either are clueless and how to conduct a proper prequalifier questionare or you are intentional misleading you membership by promising to compensate them when you have no intention of doing so. 30 minutes to take a prequalifer question for a $1 survey is just flat wrong. They prequalifer was the actual survey.

Then I have been on the other side of things where I took a $1 survey and 5 minutes into the survey I get a thank you for participating in our survey. You compensation has been added to your account and we look forward our next opportunity to request you participation.

It sure would be nice to get more of those 5 minute $1 dollar surveys. aa.gif

I guess what I am trying to get across to the people considering becoming a member of a survey company is to use some common sense.

If you have to answer far to many detailed question before finding out whether you qualify or not for a survey but, seem to handed your hat more time than not, you should consider passing that company up the next time you get an offer from them.

If you find a company ask a fair amount of prequalifying question before asking either saying you didn't qualify or proceed to the actually survey with the intent of compensating you, I would consider very strongly putting that company on your list of surveyors to continue to work with.

Sounds like what I'm going through with Opinion Outpost.....have managed to not qualify for 6 in a row I got invites for. az.gif
RG2010
Thankfully, I can say that I rarely if ever get though "BS" 30 minute prefqualifier survey from Opinion Outpost..

My last survey that was complete was through them for OTX of all places.

It was large enough to get me another Amazon card which is the way I prefer to cash out with Opinion Outpost. No waiting for a check.

As far as your comment about having a long run of not qualifying for a survey, I can sympathize.

Yesterday I went through all 5 or 6 invites that had built up for me on Opinion Outpost. Didn't qualify for a single one. ar.gif

But, that's the survey biz for you. One day you will qualify for several surveys and the next you are more likely to be hit by a south bound moose wearing rollerblades with a squirrel named Rocky riding on his back. rofl.gif

AdPaid_Marty
Hi Buxniubbo and all,

May I just say that most AdPaid surveys DO credit within 10 days or less.

If anyone does have a problem, the please LET US KNOW. The best way is by replying to the original email so that we have the survey identifier. Your reply will go to rewards (at) AdPaid.com but thats OK, as we do monitor all of our mailboxes. We DO value, and act upon your feedback.

Some reasons why a survey may not credit include, using noscript, disabling and/or not clearing cookies, not allowing Flash video, already doing the survey at another site.

You also need to pay attention and be honest and consistent when answering survey questions. They do sometimes use "catch" questions, for example, asking for birth date and then later asking how old you are. If you fail that one then you most likely won't get paid! ac.gif

For privacy reasons I can't say that buxniubbo did or did not get credited, perhaps they can come back and let you all know aa.gif

I hope that helps,
Marty

Hi Marty...tnx for posting here first of all
My post was not made for complaining about your site...I was just trying to understand how this world works and tnx to all wonderful users here now I've an idea ac.gif
I've been credited for the only survey I've been able to complete so the problem is not by ur side!
It's just really hard to qualify/complete a survey...but this clearly is not adpaid's fault.
