Hi all!

I'm thinking about how much high is the "high cpu (and memory) usage" that the PTR sites need!

e.g. I have the "Deluxe Plan" in Godaddy (shared hosting)

http://www.godaddy.com/Hosting/web-hosting...ci=9009#details

do you believe it can handle a PTR?

Thank you!

it really comes down to the ammount of users you'll be handling. You could try hosting a ptr on the deluxe plan and if your site gains enough fame and users (and therefore, profit) you could upgrade to the unlimited plan

I think economy is also good for small ptr site. If your requirement increase you can anytime request them to upgrade your plan.

I would suggest you stick to webhosts that regularly host PTRs. I sometimes find that other hosts unnecessarily shut down your site. Not sure about godaddy though. Are there any other PTRs hosted there?

I believe that GoDaddy have restrictions on the sending of mass emails - I haven't looked, but have had this on good authority, so best to check before committing to them.

I can not comment on whether you current GoDaddy plan will suffice your neads. However, you should try Hostgator. They are the ones you are looking for if you are planning to have massive users. Yet, just talk with their live Support once before you buy the plan. My $0.02
