I've found a couple of tutorials for GIMP, and I'm trying a couple of things. I'll share what I come up with, right now Ive got to figure out the best way to take a photo of my bears and the teacups! lol bb.gif I feel like I'm having a tea party! My mother-in-law is letting me use a couple of tea cups she has, fine bone china. I'm scared I'll break something! ai.gif

Did you catch the thread in which Ron has gotten permission to use the TTM bears for banners? Wish I knew how to do all that stuff, I would get right on it. Lydia

I did see that post! But my mother-in-law had another TIA yesterday evening so I've been busy with her. As soon as I get a a couple hours I'm gonna give it a try! Will share my results.

Hope your mother-in-law is doing ok. Prayers. Can't wait to see what you come up with for a banner. Hugs, Lydia

Maybe what the site needs is a front page upgrade link where both points and cash options are listed together.

Maybe it's also a question of we need to encourage more members not to be afraid to spend a few bucks. Having too many "freebie seekers" that only look into what "they can get out of and not what they can put into" a program isn't good for the program. They're the same ones that are willing to work longer, harder and put in more time and energy just to earn or save a few bucks. Rather than be willing to spend a few bucks to generate more growth more quickly. It's also a question of the flow of money.

I'm new here at this forum, but not to PTR and have always been amused by this tone that seems to be very common on forums. People are told that they can earn money by reading emails or clicking links and so they do that and then they are told by people like this that they are being selfish for doing what they were told they should be doing to earn money. Don't you realize that people come here to earn money and not to spend it? Is the promise made to these people unimportant? If they were told they should be investing money in these programs instead of investing their time maybe they wouldn't be acting this way. Or maybe people like you should be advertising differently...

All siltes need advertisers as well as clickers. If members take most of the money but occasionally spend some then the site will stay in business. I use my points and buy points so I can advertise here because I get great results from the members here.

If enough people pay cash for ads here then Ron can go back to cash upgraded ads which will be good for all of us. He had to change those upgraded ads that went out as cash ones to points ones because of lack of cash advertisers.

I know I do not pay cash. Instead I put cash into my account andf buy points off other members. Buying ads this way is only open to members. But hopefully some outside advertisers will come back. Sadly the credit crunch has hit us all so less outside advertisers. But some members are sending out ads elsewhere telling people how good the ad prices and member support is here.

Or "people like you" should read more than one post and judge a poster or site by that one post. If you want to click links and cash out, go for it. Take your pennies and we wish you well. But, if you want the real money, advertise your links at a site with affordable ad prices and a supportive membership. It's your call and nobody is going to deride you or anyone else for your decision to do so. We, as a family, will take issue with "people like you" for coming here and making it sound like we're the bad guys. We're not and so long as we do it without criticizing anyone, we're allowed to say anything we feel is appropriate.

I know Sailinshu of old. He says what he thinks but he is an honest, caring clicker. But don't expect him to be nice just to suck up to Opa Bear or any of the members. If he thinks something is wrong he says so. But at least you know he is being honest and speaking his mind.

Fine with me so long as he knows what he's talking about instead of reading one post and thinking that qualfies him to make a judgement of the poster.

Thank you for the prayers, her doctors think she will not last through Christmas. We did have a good day on Thanksgiving. She ate well for a change and she was all smiles and fun, but it did not last. They have started her on Morphine and I have taken to sleeping in her room with her. Her circle is about to be completed. Sending prayers and positive energy to all here as it helps me with my own pain.

It is so sad to see a loved one lose their fight for life. Especially at this time of year. But I thank God she had a good period on Thanksgiving Day. It will be hard to day goodbye but sometimes God says you have suffered enough, it is time to come home to me.

And that's something hoomans have trouble dealing with - that loved ones are in a better place with no wars, no crime, no suffering.
