The perfect place to evaluate any website. When choosing to buy or sell a website having the proper information about investment can be crucial to success.

What information is it based on? It doesn't look like it is for GPT sites specifically, so I have to wonder how they are calculating worth.

I kinda question how valid there estimation of a websites worth.
From what I can figure that take the ad revenue generated from a website and multiply it be 2x+ and use that as their figure to determine the value of a website.
Seem like giving the value of a website as 2x+ it's yearly ad revenue earnings is a bit of a low estimation.
That assumes that the site will have to generate that same revenue for 2 years for your investment to break even and 4 years for you to double you investment.
Perhaps the life of some sites is that short.
But, someone like Yahoo has been around a long time and the valuation is far short of what Yahoo is actual worth.
On the flip side. Some sites may not even last 2 years and you would be overpaying be using the valuation given by website outlook.
Then there is the matter of the other revenue that is generated by websites other than ad revenues.
Say a site sells something. That revenue is not even factored into the valuation.
Still, it's an interesting site.
Just keep the above things in mind if you plan to purchase a site and considering only using the valuation as a guide.

I would not recommend anyone to believe these figures. Also, there are plenty of sites out there in the Internet trying to tell you how much is your website worth. They all show different figures which are totally wrong. You can not use these values if you are planning to flip your website. For example, my site is pretty new in the block. Built just a month ago. Has 150 backlinks and indexed. Yet, is not ranking well in the Search Engines. Will you pay $2,312 for that site? NO? but that is what these sites are showing as the estimated value of my website.

agree with twistedon, the site value calculated by the website calculators is not even near to the actual value.
Let's say you have a site with excellent content but not so great SEO the value calculated will be far lower that the actual value. So if someone will buy it and apply the wright SEO his profits will be far higher than what he paid for.

I was actually reading about web sites being sold in an e-commerce course I have been reading. I have seen this site before that estimates your sites worth if a company tried to acquire it. I think that this type of estimator would be for sites like Facebook or something. Some sites aren't even profitable but are worth a lot because they are expected to become profitable.

I've tried a few of these, but their figures never seem to be that accurate
I wouldn't recommend evaluating a website cost using them
