Basically, I have been writing for eHow and I would love to run an article as an ad. Under the FAQs it says to refer to the advertizers section if I want to run a web page, but I cannot find one.

This is the page that I would like to run. http://www.ehow.com/how_5360826_make-fluff...e-frosting.html As you can see, it is an article with ads on it.

My PROBLEM is that I cannot figure out what to post under Banner URL (no html): , and I cannot post the page without it.

I am assuming that ehow does not provide any kind of banners for you to use. In that case, do a search for a free banner maker. They can be a bit confusing at first, but play with it a bit untiol you get something you like. It does not have to be elaborate. Then save it to your computer. Go to photobucket or a similar free site and upload that banner. Once it is uploaded, you will see several links that can be used for different things. I think the one that works for ads here is the one that says direct link. That is your banner url. Copy and paste the link to a notepad or whatever you find handy for saving documents. That way you will have it handy. Hope this has been helpful. Lydia

The part abput not posting html is only for the banners, not the site page. As an example, let's use one of the banners from the front page. The html version is

<a href="http://www.gptboycott.com"target="_blank"><img src="http://www.gptboycott.com/gptbbanners/234x60.gif"></a>

All that info is necessary to get the banner to display properly on a web page.

However, to run that same banner in the rotation, the code is simply http://www.gptboycott.com/gptbbanners/234x60.gif

The reason why we cannot accept html codes for banners is because the scripts delete everything after the space after the = sign and I'm left with <a href= rather than a banner code. If you have any problems, I'm but a forum post or email away and am always happy to help.

I am still not certain what to put in the blank box: the last one.

If I put http://www.ehow.com/how_5360826_make-fluff...e-frosting.html in TWO boxes, would the ad run at all? Because I do not need the banner at all. (There is no benefit from having people sign in below us in ehow: we are paid when people search the ads that are added to the articles. and we cannot ask them to search.)

For instance, I could enter under the description DELICIOUS RECIPIE, under that enter ehow, under that post http://www.ehow.com/how_5360826_make-fluff...e-frosting.html , and under that enter http://www.ehow.com/how_5360826_make-fluff...e-frosting.html

Would that work, do you think? A messed up banner ad is fine, because I do not benefit from having a banner ad. Or could I just put a TESAS banner in instead? Does it HAVE to be an ehow banner?

If you put the same link in both boxes, there will be no banner displayed. When anyone clicks the "non-banner" they will go to your site but without a banner to catch their eye, getting someone to click the "non-banner" is highly unlikely. To help, we could use a text ad. If you put the same link in both boxes and put a description of the site in the Comments section, I can take your Comments and make a text rather than banner ad out of it. So your ad submission would look something like this:

Description: DELICIOUS RECIPIE
Comments: make-fluffy-cream-cheese-frosting
Banner: http://www.ehow.com/how_5360826_make-fluff...e-frosting.html
Link: http://www.ehow.com/how_5360826_make-fluff...e-frosting.html

This way, instead of having a non-banner displayed and almost never get anyone to click it, it will display make-fluffy-cream-cheese-frosting and very likely get more clicks as it is something different from all the PTRE links we ad readers usually see

That's why we're here - to help whenever we can.

PS. I found trhe ads and edited them as stated above. Only took a few extra seconds and they're good to go.
