Hi,
I am so sorry that my first forum post happened to be a complaint. I am a newbie to ptc world and forums also. I have been registered with Teasastemails for a while and want to be an active member. My account statistics say that I have clicked 3 cheat links. I don't know how it happened but I remember I clicked the red banners which say "Do not Click", but below those banners say you get "100 points". To get the 100 points I clicked the two banners.

What did I do wrong? Will I get my account deleted for this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

The world of PTR is full of cheats. A sad but true fact. Some programme owners and some programme members are not as honest as the vast majority of honest owners and members are.

People like me pay for adverts or pay to upgrade and use the "free" ads we get with the upgrade. We want people to read our ads, and hope that some of them will join the site we are advertising. Or if it is a PTP link then the people who pay to advertise on those pages want people to look at the page and maybe be inspired to join the site they are advertising.

One way of cheating is viewing ads but not understanding English well enough to know what they are reading. No-one expects all members to be as fluent in English as someone for whom it is their main language but we all expect members to be able to read and understand the ads.

So one way of finding out who is cheating by not being able to read and understand English is by putting in cheat links. It says "do not click" which suggests that it is a cheat link. So those who do not read English or just click on the links without even reading the ad although they are fluent English speakers are cheating the advertiser by not reading the advert. They just grab the 100 points on offer. And they get flagged up as cheaters.

You can read and understand English but still clicked on a link that said "Do not click". It is up to the programme owner to decide what to do next. But please remember in future that all sites have ways of finding the cheaters and this is just one of them. If you see something that says do not click even though it is giving cash or points then do not click it.

And when you join a programme be honest about which country you are from, the site admin can check which country you are clicking from and if you say you are in one country and the computer says you are in another then that can mean you will lose your membership and all your earnings if you are kicked out for cheating. I remember several years ago on another site's forum Heather discovered a long term member who she thought was honest said in her profile she was an American but the computer said she was in Germany. The member was American but was in Germany with her soldier husband. She kept her membership as it was a mistake. But even if you are an American you can only read ads that the advertiser wants targeted to America if you are actually living in the country at the time.

It is confusing being a newbie which is why you need to read the forum, ask questions about anything you are unsure about. This forum is full of friendly people who will answer your questions.

And The Been Paid forum is a very good programme for finding out which are the best PTR programmes out there. http://www.beenpaid.com/index.php

The banners say they are worth -100 points which is a negative value link. Above the PTCs, it says for you to contact me if you ever click one by accident. Waiting until you get 3 before you say anything really is a bit late. The ones you clicked specifically tell you not to click. One says so 4 times and says it's an English test while the other one says not to click or your account will be deleted.

Before you were permitted to join, you said you read Site Policy (Terms). One of the sections states

Negative Value Links:

Negative value links are included in emails and on the site every day which remove points or cash from the account. If you do as you are paid to do, which is read before you click, these negative value links will be obvious. Therefore, they will not be marked as cheat links. They are not to be clicked at any time or the member will have cash or points deducted each time. Should the member click these to the point of getting three (3) or more clicked, we will presume you either don't read or you are not here to make money and your account will be canceled. Should you click sufficient negative value links to obtain a negative balance, it will be your responsibility to contact TesasTeaMails to arrange for your account to be brought to a non-negative balance or your account is subject to termination. Using software to do your clicking is not acceptable at TesasTeaMails under any circumstances.

Click 3 cheat links in any calendar month and your membership here will cease.

As much as I hate to delete members, the advertisers deserve to get the highest quality clicks we can get to them and anyone who clicks links just for the value of the clicks without having a genuine interest in the subject being advertised has no business being here.

Bottom line: You clicked 3 or more cheat links this month, 2 last moth and one the month before, all the while clicking banners that say DO NOT CLICK for, by your own admission, the point gain so, yes, your account will be deleted the next time I remove cheaters from the site.

A sad but fair decision, Opa Bear.

I advertise using my upgrade ads and by buying points from other members.

Some of those ads are for sites I hope some of the readers will join. Cheats will not be unlikely to join and I do not want them in my downline.

One of those ads is for an affliate page and as well as getting paid for it I hope that I will also get some refs to the programmes I have listed on the page. Cheats will not be unlikely to join and I do not want them in my downline.

The rest of the ads will be PTP ads. I get paid just for people looking at the page. But that page contains pages paid for by other people. Unless they get results they will not buy the ads and the PTR programme wil, like Donkey and No-Minimum have to reduce the amount paid. Cheaters will not give them the results they want.

So you can see why this advertiser does not want cheaters here. We all make mistakes, but this was done deliberately from the amount done and the original post.

I think this is fair. I know that a lot of us, myself included, have accidently clicked a link we aren't meant to. In my case it happened when my browser seemed to "jump" suddenly (the link I had clicked previously was a PTP one and a lot of pop-ups popped out just after the ad had timed out. I emailed the PO right away to explain and say sorry.

That's all we ask - if one makes a mistake, whether it be real or imagined, do as the site says which is to contact me when it happens to demonstrate that the ad reader does read and understand English. Doing so gets the error forgiven, the erroneous click is removed and we can all go back to doing what we do best which is to show our advertisers why they buy ads here - because we deliver the highest quality clicks for their money.
