Attention All,

Since we have now modified our signature and avatar rules which give you more space to be creative, we have decided to open this pinned thread to help members who have problems/ questions/ clarifications regarding the rules.

If you are not sure whether your signature/avatar is acceptable or not, please post the suggested signature/avatar here and we will let you know whether it is acceptable or not. If you wish to check your current signature or avatar, please let us know in this thread itself, so that we can check and assist you.

This link gives the signature and avatar rules (refer point 5)

This link shows how to make a signature

Your signature as it is now with the banner:

Violates the signature rules as the banner is too tall per the rules:

When adding a signature, please make a note of the following:

You may use one of the options here:

5.1a You are allowed a maximum of 6 lines of text using only the standard default font size. Blank vertical spaces between lines of text (line breaks) are also counted as a line. This ONLY applies if you use no banners or images - see below. This applies when viewing on a maximum screen resolution of 1024x768.

OR

5.1b ONE Banner or Graphic maximum dimension of 500x80 pixels PLUS up to a MAXIMUM of FOUR (4) lines of text/links when viewing on a maximum screen resolution of 1024x768. You may post a higher quantity of smaller sized images or banners in your signature as long as the total (cumulative) image pixel space does not exceed the image area size or the maximum file size equivalent ON ONE LINE (No vertically stacked images). The total image file size limit is 50KB.

Your banner is 125 x 125 and needs to be removed - thanks for checking it. aa.gif

does this mean I could put up for example 3 images on one line, if the total area of these 3 images is max 500x80? So 3 images, each 150x60 would be allowed on one line (total used area would be 450x60)? Or for example 3 images each 500x25 would be allowed on 3 lines (total area 500x75)? And still 4 lines of text under/above it? What about text on the same line as the image(s), does it count to the 4 lines rule?
