I am so annoyed. I have been an active Global Test Market affiliate for years. I hadn't sent an invoice to them for over a year though, just hadn't thought about it. So I went through yesterday and added up my year's referrals. I sent off the invoice only to get a note back saying my account "expired" in December 2008 (nice of them to tell me) and that I wouldn't be paid for and referrals after that.
I am so annoyed. So I thought I'd share the story in the event there are others of you who also still are under the impression that you are an active affiliate. You should check your status out.

Thanks for posting this. I'm not an affiliate but I was actually looking into joining, although it doens't seem like they're accepting new affiliates at the moment. But I am an affiliate of several other paid survey sites. Has anyone experienced this with any other affiliate programs?
And what exactly do you mean by invoices? I've only been affiliate marketing for a little less than a month so I'm still trying to figure some things out.
Thanks,
Danielle

GTM, in what used to be their affiliate program, required that you essentially send them a bill or an invoice to get paid as an affiliate. They didn't pay out automatically, you had to send them a form to have them do it.

I am in the same situation as you, needless to say I was less them impressed, they have made money from my referrals that I brought to their site, but they don't want to pay for the extra money that I have brought into them.
