Whew thank goodness you got that sorted.

We are still having problems. If I use the one computer only modem I can access most sites. One insists the email is wrong (it is not, I even did a cut and paste to prove it without any success). But I can access that site from the laptop if the router is in use.

But if we use the router which means we can both be online at the same time many pages will not load.

Just when I thought Leslie had got the computers sorted as well.

On the health side I could not get the Dong Quai plus tablets I was taking for the menopause but now the shop I get them from have tracked down another source. The original ones were imported and the company has stopped importing them. But the new ones are not quite as affective. So I am getting more tired than I was and have to pace myself more. But at least a menopause does eventually end (5 years in so it must surely be past the half way mark at least) and my arthritis is under control and not getting any worse. Compare this to people like my husband and Karen and I realise just how lucky I really am healthwise.

Not sure what the problem is with the forum, but apparently there are some issues. I just went hunting on the right thread and got lucky enough to find the post.

Hope you are feeling better soon. I was in such a blur from trying to drink myself to death I did not even realize I had gone through menopause until it was over. All that time I thought I was just feeling lousy from too much booze. Thank God both of those problems are behind me now. My back is a problem right now due to overdoing it yesterday, so the bad vertebrae is out of place - big ouch - otherwise I think I will live if I can get some sleep tonight. Lydia

Great tip, I had it working but the ipb 2.2 default theme is so much better.

I just happened to find it in that thread when I went looking to see what the problem might be. Go thank the person who posted it originally. Give credit where credit is due. Me? I'm technologically challenged. Lydia ce.gif

NP, we do like to be in control, don't we? So, for future reference, if there are issues with the forum, just go to the home page and look for issues with the forum. Forget exactly where I found it, but a little poking around gets you there. So, you will either find an answer or you can report it. Lydia

Now, where's the logout or logoff link? co.gif

Thanks!

If you select the IPB 2.2 skin it's right next to your name near the top left.

Yes, that's it! ci.gif

By the way, is the IPB 2.2 a new format or something?

Actually I think it's the old format and default that comes when you install the forum software. They just tried to enhance it and didn't tell us.

Sounds plausible. As my dad would say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it.". :-) Lydia

My controls disappeared again. Quite by accident I discovered that if I tried something that requires me to be logged in, I get a log in page, soon as I log in, controls are back. See the original thread for more comments about the issue. Lydia

I have had to log in but it still is not there for me. Doh.

How are you able to access your pm area without it???

I see that the thing to change the skin is back on here today, lower left of the page. If it is there for you make sure it says IPB 2.2.x Default and maybe that will fix it for you.
blythburgh
I did the fix again and thankfully this morning it is still working.

If it is not broke why fix it?
