i guess you should contact stormpay asap....
osmedic
If you click request password, you can email them and include your telephone number on file and they'll email you back with your password as long as it's the same email you have listed with them.

I was just in that one... Did it with every other language to English and the two you got were the only ones that made sense...

width of unit

or

unit of width

???

How do we all measure width? Inches, feet, miles, centimeters, etc...

*God, I cannot believe that I'm trying to hack my own Stormpay account!!! LOL*
kglaser
These are sad times when the only one who can't access one's account is the account's owner. ae.gif
(sorry, just trying to laugh along with you...not laughing at your situation)
flashcash1
Best bet is to contact Stormpay asap if you have not already.

Forward that email that was sent to you and explain that you did not change your information....PERIOD!

Then proceed to tell them that you no longer can access your account.

ab.gif Tell ya what I'm gonna do for you or try to. Gonna write our daughter who is studying German and who had went to Europe and lived in Germany. Maybe a college student with a German major will help. I can't believe someone would do such a thing to anyone. I am sure if you call Stormpay, and explain the situation, they would probably do all they could to help you out. Again, sorry you had such a thing happen to you or anyone. Wouldn't wish that one or anyone.

and while you're doing that, see if they can trace who did it !! there ought to be a log of some sort ..... at least i hope so, for your sake... so sorry about this, sarah !!! ah.gif
edithje
It's not german. Must be polish or at least eastern european.

I can only speak a few words in polish, but I can read about all western european languages.

The o is the ending of a verb, indicating it's about 1st person, so in english you would translate the word with I in front.

Te means you.

I will try to find what that derno means (I do know dirne, LOL, which means...ehm...."cheap" feamle person aj.gif )

naama
Ko te derno? German? ad.gif ad.gif No it's not. It's not Italian or Spanish either. Some Easthern European Language.

In any case, even if you could translate it, I don't believe it would help, as it would seem like someone got hold of the account and changed the secret question

Cybertongue, I'm so sorry to hear that. Good you did not have much funds in there. It's alarming to hear all the latest hacker attacks on E-Gold and now also StormPay accounts.

Have you heard from Stormpay yet? ah.gif
cheetahx
You know, are you sure you were on the real Stormpay site? About a week ago, people were getting emails supposedly from e-gold, saying that they had received erroneous funds. The link in the email didn't go to e-gold, but to a replica site that was harvesting passcodes.

Try logging in to Stormpay by typing it in yourself, and see if you still have the problem. Make sure the little security lock is showing at bottom of the browser. If you can log in okay this way, you probably did get in through a fake site, and you need to change your passcode immediately, at the site itself.

OOOOOh ! That's awful !

So the answer is what's the name of the person who stole his account ?? That's just ugly .

summersun
the contact page says to email stormpay at: help@stormpay.com

hope that helps
mycology
That's awful, but a good thing you didn't have much in there!

As for the pass I would try..........well maybe not.

Um, maybe hristo7777 can give you some common names and you could give it a whirl, if ya still wanna try it.

But by the time you are droopy eyed from typing in sooo many passwords,
Stormpay will be getting back to you.

They will probably let you know that you have lost your .75 too........
but at least it wasn't $7.50 or $75 or $7500 or ......

so sorry to hear of yet another hacking am.gif

QUOTE (cybertongue @ Jun 3 2003, 04:41 AM)
Well, that's interesting... I haven't received any reply from Stormpay yet, to the two emails I sent them, their contact page cannot be displayed, and I typed it in manually so I'm sure I was on the right site.

Since I have no clue who f...ed me, I guess my attempts at hacking my own account are null and void, huh? lol

Hopefully I'll get some sort of response from Stormpay at some point, only thing I can do now is sit tight.

I appreciate everyone's support and concern, though! aa.gif

(Also, I just tried variations on Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein as the answer to the question, and neither worked ac.gif )

Don't you have to have a verified bank account to use stormpay? If so, even if it was only 75 cents I would say it's definitely something to worry about if your bank account is there, he may be able to withdraw from it using stormpay
tatu
I can't believe you guys are trying to guess the secret question!!!!

Good Luck, really.

If I could, I would help you.
ekelly
How many characters does the password have to be? Min and max?

OK, got it from the Stormpay site:

Your password is case sensitive and must be at least 6 characters long,
including at least one letter (a-Z),
one number (0-9)
and one of the following special characters:
!=+*;:-,._{[()]}#%?@

(That's funny....my password does not contain any of those "special characters")
Must be a new thing.

Well, considering all the things that must be in a pasword, it is very unlikely you will ever guess what it is. ah.gif

This sucks! I hope Stormpay can help you
Jypsy
Sheesh....kinda makes ya wanna go back to the good ole days of keeping your money between your mattress and box-spring.

I still think there has to be a better way. Obviously the password thing isn't working.

Stiffer penalties. And I don't mean a metal ankle bracelet or community service. I'm talking death by lethal injection here.

I do not see how they could have changed your password or any info without stormpay notifying you at your email address. Everytime I've made a change I got a email telling me... Did you check you emails for change info...

I told my husband what happened and this was his reply:

ya must have ###### off someone one that mail order bride site... lol... leave their sister alone

I'm assuming he's talking about bride.ru??? ad.gif

And yes, I emailed them before I even came here... ah.gif

hehe ad.gif

Hope you can sort out your Strompay account.
Hope no one is about to send you a payment. This person
prob. changed all your info to theirs so as to make it seem to
be their account. Let us know how you make out. Good luck cyber.

I have not been hacked (yet ar.gif ) but this is what I learned from other hacking stories:

I keep very low balances in all of my accounts.
The bank account that is linked is also a very very VERY low balance! The bank is right down the street, so when I get money in there I take it out right away, and put it in when I need it. I use a totally different bank to keep my money in.

I also use different passwords for every account.

Nobody will get to the real "booty" that way! ad.gif

So if someone goes after my accounts because I'm a webmaster and think I have alot of $$ in there, they will be sadly mistaken!
(and all that trying will take time away from trying on someone else!) ai.gif

Why did someone dig this up again??

I guess the new member tatu wants to raise his/her total posts, only has 9 after this answer ac.gif

I guess before he/she reaches the needed post ammount to get access to either referral exchange or money exchange you're going to see quite a deal of these older threads brought back to life, I'm just hoping it isn't money exchange he/she's wanting to go ae.gif ad.gif
