coming from dispatch@mcafee.com and yahoo doesn't find any viruses in the files. Don't worry haven't downloaded them...just wanted to see if it would find any.
I've recieved 3 so far =/

Also recieved an "e-card" earlier today...was from e-gold

Yep, I got that e-card one.....it's a HTML email, that will automatically try to d/l a trojan if your client is set up correctly.

The link in the email is quite clever, it goes to a copycat of an e-card site (stowe.com I think?), and pops up a window that's actually genuine bluemountain.com

The copycat site links to all the appropriate places on stowe.com, so it's actually fully functional. Except that it too tries to get you to d/l the trojan.

Now the question I have for the moron out there who dreamed this one up:

If you're going to all that trouble to try and make it look genuine, why would you a) not get someone to write english better for you, and

send it with an e-gold from address??

i got one last week from support@microsoft.com with an attachment and it contained a virus. which is why you no longer see my email address on these forums !!!

I also recieved a virus saying it was from microsoft support and here is the info I requested. Fortunately I have Norton 2002 and it was caught all 4 times. If you check the updates at the microsoft site it is one of the first ones they tell you about. It also warns you to go to mail security to block ANYTHING that shows a pif. I now run update almost every day.

that is so mean to send virus to people. Someone sent one in a pay to read the other night, I ended up downloading it but fortunately was only in the cache, didn't make it to the rest of my computer thank God.
