Dear Members of GetPaidForum:

Due to recent situations, changes, and events, I have been forced to regain 100% control of this forum. I'm the owner, I will now make the administrative decisions on this board. I had let another individual make these choices after taking ownership of this site in October as I was unable to allocate the proper time to manage this site. This person had taken the power completely to their head and stepped on many toes along the way.

I have removed all accounts this administator had placed. I removed many many links, ads, and other placements that were added on the site out of good intent, but instead flooded the site with ads making it hard for other sites to use this as the site was previously designed to be used.

I have to say I am very disappointed in having to make this decision, however it has thought me a lesson, which is to stay on top of those you appoint and to make a close eye on your properties more so.

I will not go into detail, as I rather not discredit someone, but after a few childish things that occured it was the last straw and I was forced to regain control 100%. I have left the moderators in place that are on here. They seem to be doing an good job.

I'm short on time tonight, so I'm unable to post as much as I'd like. It is 1am here in Florida, and at 6am I must get up to catch a plane to attend a meeting.

I will be making changes to clean up this board and make it the board it once was.

Thank you for your understanding and support,
Tom

I don't think there is anyone working on this.

It's a bit like the Marie Celeste around here.

I agree Joeprobe. It seems it's only about FAKING the number of members and traffic ratings so as to fool potential advertizers. The only post by the owner since he said he was going to improve the forum has been a list of ad prices weeks later. This forum could care less about the members now. It's all about me-me-me-tommyd and how much he can suck out of it.

Actually the forum has made about $300 in total revenue since Oct 2007 when I bought it, so before you slander or try to figure what the deal is, maybe know your facts?

The numbers are not fake, in any way. All are true users and opt-in users. Our web stats are available to our potential advertistors upon request which show full traffic statistics are reported by AwStats and the web server.

The forum cost me 10k, - $300 in revenue = 9700 in the hole + about 15 a month in electric to power the equipment (150) = 9850 in the hole... so nice try my friend :-)

Any event - I have appointed Mr TonyB to help moderate and run the board. He has been more than wiilling to help as my time is very consumed lately.

Thank you
Tom

For interest sake I post some stats I have been keeping since the membership numbers here began to increase due to Lagoon site members automatically getting an account here.

{Sorry the post doesn't line up when I preview it.}

Since Dec 23 the membership has increased by 257665 members (more than twice what it was) but the posting behavior has dropped continuously and dramatically indicating a total lack of interest by these new members. Many of these generated members have never even had the interest to post even once yet they inflate the member stats if in future the forum is put up for sale again. FCP has posted about using a software to inflate Alexa ratings.
Tony is the only mod I see holding things together. I thought nitinkumar was doing a good job till she was ditched when FPC exited. At least she was against the plethora of multiple accounts that have sprung up. I'm glad to see you are planning to get rid of those. Unfortunately a lot of damage was done in a very short time that may never be able to be reversed.
