Full Version: Rant about OTX surveys

I am really starting to get fed up with OTX's cheating ways. I just spent 45 minutes doing a beer survey, finished it and at the end was told by OTX that I spent too long doing the survey and I would have to start all over again.

I've also had before where I spent a half hour doing a survey only for them to tell me at the end 'sorry you don't qualify'. What a $%^&* waste of my time.

No wonder they always have millions of surveys in their system, they rarely have to pay anything out because they scam you into wasting your time and then kick you out for dumb reasons. I can understand if I speed though a survey or if I don't answer their 'quality control' questions. But doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing and doing a thorough job answering every question, for them to 'disqualify' me after that period of time is scammy to me.

Anyone else have problems with OTX surveys?

I don't have a problem with OTX directly, but moreso with sites that seem to only exist because they serve surveys on behalf of OTX. Like OTX by proxy, and then I have had the same issues you describe here. It's always fun to be "pre-screened" for acceptance for a survey, just to spend 10 minutes or more not qualifying after all.

I avoid anything OTX now. It's just not worth it.

You're not alone with this. I seem to never qualify for their surveys even after spending 15 0r 20 minutes answering all sorts of questions. I won't do them again.

I am so glad to find this thread. I am not alone. I do the same thing. I do not even try to do a survey by them. I just shut the window and go to another survey site.

I have tried to qualify so many times for 15 to 30 minutes only to be disqualified after I have answered the questions (info) they want to know.

I do surveys to get paid for my opinion. We all do! But OTX does not work very well with people.

I agree. I used to be quite active with this site, but walked away from them quite some time ago.

I just try to avoid OTX Surveys... Low Qualifying Rate!

I must be unique. I have never spent more than 2 minutes before disqualification by them, maybe 3 at the most. And I usually qualify for about half. I always knew I was weird. cf.gif

It's ok Wil, I often make myself the butt of my own jokes. My theory, others will be even meaner than I am and if you make fun of yourself you don't give them the chance! HUH! ax.gif

I never start there surveys anymore i have always got booted out so do not waste my time with them, IMO they get all the answers and then decide to boot you out and not pay you!

I have experienced the same as everyone else. Thought it was just me, lol. I thought maybe they didn't have that many surveys for over 65+

The fastest disqualification that I got recently from OTX was I clicked to try another survey, nothing came up and it said that I didn't qualify again, lol. Global Test Market uses mostly OTX and I am still trying to get to my first payout at GTM, Don't think I'll ever make it, rarely, if ever, qualify for any of their surveys. When I open a survey and see that it's for OTX, I automatically know that I WON'T qualify for it, so I'm now just deleting the email if it says OTX.

It surprises me to find that there are still so many people, a member of this scam operation OTX. Why in blue blazes do you constantly get burned by these people that you still try to do their surveys. Beyond me. I for one have taken it to a higher level of complaining. Such is what you people should do also. Complain to FTC, BBB and your State Attorney General. If and when enough complaints are received by them, then they will investigate. And hopefully shut them down.
In short, Get away from them as far as you can, delete your accounts. By the way, do you think your prvacy is protected with them, Doubt it.
Posting on forums is nice so that new people to the survey taking can see by our mistakes and not join these SCAM survey sites. But we all need to make some waves for these people.

Ummmm these are surveys that come from legitimate multi established companies from all across the world, so for them to do such a trick like that so you won't get qualified then the government may do an investigation on this program, and eventually shut them down and sue them for all there monies worth. So yes it's true the best thing for you to do is go to the higher ups like BBB.

As i said before i do not start them, The only site i do start them on if they appear is Gobaltestmarket because you get points if you do not complete the survey aa.gif.

Although, personally I have not run into this issue with OTX (usually I go through Quickrewards to get to OTX), I have had this problem with other survey sites.

Honestly, if I spend more than a few minutes doing pre qualifying questions I consider that I have done a survey for the site in question and they made money but did not share it with me.

In other words it was a survey the company made money from at the expense of my time and gave me nothing in return.

More than a few survey companies pull this SCAM.

They may throw you a bone from time to time. But, that $1 survey you completed in 15 minutes in reality took much longer because of the other PRE surveys you took that made the company money but not you.

If you're trying to make a living online, wasting 15 minutes on a survey that doesn't pay you, is 15 minutes' worth of money wasted. And if you happen to be on a website where you've had that treatment before, you should seriously consider quiting it immediatly
