OK As a program owner I fully understand why some PTR's are doing the "You have to wait to get credit for one link before you open another one" !!!

With all the cheating going on it's understandable, but in my opinion....unrealistic....I mean, with all the programs we all belong to, if all PTR's did this we would have time for nothing else.

LMAO Imagine my program Paidmailinc.com doing that, I send 10 links in each email at 15 seconds each, that's 2.5 minutes of links and if I made members wait and do one link at a time......with about 100 links a day LMAO I would be out of business.

I hate to have to unsub from the programs like Noeys but I don't have that kind of time to sit and wait...it's stupid in my opinion.
Anyone else feel this way? Or is it just my meds talking...I mean they did give me good pain meds after my surgery LOL so I could be wrong.

Hugs, Colleen

There was no choice for most webmasters as this was an automatic upgrade.. ac.gif Now I believe there is an option to turn it on or off aa.gif

thanks for that thread aa.gif

Collene I agree with you because soem sites like yours send out a couple ads of exit cash flow among a few others that you cant possibly read each one because they arew the same, so this means with the new timer thing you are going to only open one of the 5 because why wait all those minutes for the same ad, and people that ptu those ads in get paiid if we just look at it not only if weread it (exit cash flow I mean) I have a habit of opening quit a few links at the same time cause my puter is slow and I have to wait a minute or so before it loads, so I can read the message click the link then go to the next and do the same and then go to the web pages when they load and read them, join if I like them or dont belong to them, and move on to the next web page. When I first got the email from moker cash and it did that I thought omg, mayube I was doing soemthing wrong so I now just wait , then click the next one and if I already eblong to it or if its exit cash and I already clicked one I jsut skip it cause I get about 300 to 400 emails a day I ahve to do and I just dont have the time to wait 40 seconds or longer for each page to load and then wait for the timer ah.gif I will be losing money now and the adverttisers will to and the programs might be losing some members ah.gif I dont think this will have a good out come. Hopefully everyone turns it off. I dont do the ptc very opften becuase it takes so long and I dont have enough hours in the day to do them all (altho soemytimes I do the ones I like) I am sure I could make my minimum payments much faster if I could do them but there arent enough hours in the day for that LOL (maybe I should really weeed out my programs and only stick with a few really good ones then I have more time ac.gif )

If the option has been put in to turn it off, why are you unsubbing?

As fast as this option came out, there's already been a change because of so many complaints. On some programs it's turned off already. I'd just wait a while and see how this pans out. I think you'd end up being awfully mad at yourself if you end up unsubbing from programs, just to find out they turned off the option. aa.gif

Colleen
I think the option to turn it off is on the site itself and not for the member to do...

A lot of sites are going to lose many members if they keep this..I couldn't do that to my membership. I have worked way to hard.

Hey Colleen,

Nice To See You Arnd Here.. and yep I Agree with you ... I Know one thing for sure .. I am a part of a bunch of GPtR progs and most of them( emails and links).. carry ads that are hardly unique.. I Used to sit and read them all carefully .. But By now.. I know whats in it jes by glancing at it .. " IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS.. I AM MAKING MONEY".. Thatz Exitcashflow.. and trust me.. there are many more.. of those.. .. Guess what i .. can dream of these sites.. ( i dunno if i should call this a nightmare).. So I think WM should allow... opening more than one link at a time..
an Honest Clicker ( trying hard to remain Honest)

n Colleen... Hope You Are Feeling Great after the surgery.. aa.gif

lol, i'm member of a site with no timers, i used to just click on the links one after another without bothering to look at them! i just look if they are searchlinks at the email itself! otherwise, i don't even bother! i just close them as soon as they open!
when i started advertising though, i stopped that! it was unfair for the advertisers so i guess thats why, if i bought an ad, i prefer it to have timers on them!
if everyone was as honest as we are, there wouldn't be a need for these rules too!

There are WMs who consider that cheating if you click more than a link at a time....
I remember seeing that warning at some sites..
Shelly
true but by the same token to me webmasters are saying I can't chew gum and walk at the same time........aka I can't possibly open and read 5 links at a time because I am too stupid......Most ads are for the same programs over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again

I swore a week or so ago if I heard that zoom zoom of zcash one more time I was gonna rip my speakers out.....and don't get me started on ecf

It gets worse every day...cheater software ....webmasters anti cheat software and so the cheaters make new software and it becomes a vicious cycle.

Gimme a break and let me earn my 1/4 to 5 cents in peace...chances are you will get hacked and we will never get paid anyway.
and don't attack me with the I pay crap......I am speaking for myself....a lowly clicker contributing to the pockets of the webmasters feeding off of each other with huge downlines while I sit here hours and hours and click away so they can get paid
Susy
Zcash has sound?? ae.gif LOL I never have my speakers on when I'm clicking. I put a nice cd in my hunnybunny's comp, and happily click, type, read, chat, etc. So much more relaxing. aa.gif

As to the opening of multiple links from within the same email, funny thing is, I have always thought you were supposed to open one at a time. Been doing it for years. LOL

I DO open one email in regular AOL mail, one in Hotmail, then do my PTC's on Crazy (yes ONE banner at a time...but I do have a couple of programs up at the same time), sometimes I haul up AOL internet mail for the ones that don't include the hyperlinks. I guess I'm so used to doing that (used to use Netscape and the outside IE browsers), that it's nothing hard about it. And now since I have the DSL and 8.0, my email is faster, and Crazy makes things run like skates on good ice.

I know about time, lordy, I do enough on this dang machine ao.gif ao.gif and I do shortcuts where I can. I remember a while back though that a few webmasters who had no timers slammed in the fact if each link were opened at least before a good 15 to 20 second interval, there'd be H*LL to pay, so that's what I've always done. I can see the time point. Would love to save 'some' time, though. I guess I've got most things down pat with a near routine, and I do have a bit more time than most. Gotta agree about ECF and searches though am.gif DON'T get me started on searches again lol...it's not pretty!
mrbike
Gosh, I didn't even know that some sites would let you open more than one link at a time...I've been opening them one link at a time for several years...boy do I feel stupid! It sure would be nice to have two or three links opening one after another...I know what most ads are going to be anyway, and If it is interesting or something that I want to Join, I'll stay at that link longer than the 15 or 20 second timer, if I've seen it hundreds of times before, and I am not interested...you get the idea. ai.gif It sure would be nice if all owners followed the same set of rules, so that we didn't have to remember from one site to the other, but, I guess that isn't to be.

LOL! ad.gif I usually have my speakers turned up load because I listen to music throughout the day and whenever I hear that zoom zoom z-cash sound it always scares the bejezzus outta me! ad.gif But then I realize that's the sound of money! ab.gif

If I may add my two cents. Timers , forced timers, pop ups or any of those gimmicks will not ensure that persons will actually look at the site and participate.

You may expose it to the user as much as you can and if they are not interested they are not.

My problem with it is that many times the programs being advertised are useless to me to watch or explore cause I am already a member.

If I want to search ( and most times I do, until I have reached the 100 a day limit), no amount of timers will make me search less or more. I open ALL the windows to give them time to load then I go to each one and do my searches. If I have to wait 25 seconds on one then it may be the only one that gets opened.

Let's face it guys. Consider there to be two groups of surfers If you ar a member of one program then it is ok cause spending 25 seconds on one link will not be much if you only have 10 a day or less from that one program.

But if you are like me and get hundreds of ads a day then this is not very practical. And most people in the business are in the second of the two groups. the belong to many different paid to read programs.

A little advice for those of you who have the one page at a time timer. I will read the first mail and then that is it, this means that the advertiser whose ad is first and at the top, is very lucky .

When I get fed up I will just unsub. Keeping in mind that your terms said if I do not like it then beat it.

no whining no fussing. You will just lose one more member or lower your click rate for the other advertisers in that mail.

If I open I timed link to a program I am already a member of, I usually take that time to log in, and do a couple of paid to clicks while I am there! ai.gif

My browser only lets me view one link at a time anyway. If I click another, it just replaces the first one, and I don't get credit!
I can open different windows to surf, do admin stuff, etc, but not 2 EMAIL ones at the same time.

I know I can go to crazy browser, etc and have tried it, its just kind of a pain to switch around all the time.

I also do other things while the timer is going, Im not sitting around waiting for it.
