In actuality, we have 5006 total members and 2500 active members who have clicked a link in the past 30 days

reason for the big increases in membership is due to my unsuspending inactive accounts and continuing to send them emails in the hopes of really getting 5000 clickers for the advertisers' ads. unsuspending has gotten us a 25% increase in clickers since I started sending mails to inactive accounts

Current stats are:

Site Stats
Members
Total 5,208
Active 2,513

so we're about half way to the 5k active members and I still have 244 inactives left to unsuspend. Inactivity policy is now that an active member is someone who has clicked at least one ad in the past 720 hr. Emails will continue to go out to inactive accounts and anyone who goes a full year without clicking links gets canceled. This way, I don't have to spend time daily unsuspending inactive accounts and they can pick up where they left off.

Congratulations.

I'm new too and too late for the reward.

Welcome to the site and no you are not too late for the ref contest.

Site Stats
Members
Total 5,208
Active 2,513

Only 2,513 are considered active enough to be part of the ref contest. So if you get some refs you could win a prize, hopefully someone will spot your ad and report it here (in the caughtya thread) in which case both you and the person who reports finding your ad get some extra cash.

And my apologies for not updating the list of caughtya's sent to Ron. I am using a slow computer and losing the internet connection on a regular basis which is slowing me down even more. And then there are real life problems which are cutting my computer time down even more. sigh

And changing the subject to points:

Great value if you want to upgrade. But if you don't then they are excellent for advertising or you can sell them. I buy them for my PTP ads and save money, cheaper than paying cash for the ads. bb.gif

If you want to buy or sell ads go to the clickthrough in the brown links on the site pages. Hit CPP and then you will get the list in order from the cheapest to the most expensive per point. This will give you an idea of how much to charge if you are selling.

I was wondering about that too? I see 5,216 Active Ad Readers right under the menu that goes across the top of the page under the header.
Maybe it could be changed to reflect the true total, more encouragement for us widdlebears? At least we are headed in the right direction?

Actually, with us being 2480 short of having 5000 active members, there's no reason why you cannot win because the top referrer only has 148

I personally apologize to all for not checking in with Ron regarding the actual active count before starting this thread.

Oh, pshaw

No need for an apology as it means everyone knows where the site is.

I have a slow computer at the moment, az.gif less time az.gif and a dreadful ISP which keeps dropping me. az.gif We will almost certainly change it but of course the one we really want is not available in our area. az.gif This will mean a week without the net.

So I have not been checking the numbers, getting on with other things first and still not getting done anything like I would like to get done.

Thanks to another PO, and I cannot tell you who because i used the Private PO's Folder to find out, the number at the top of the pages now reflects total and active members

Will do. Speaking of which, I finally got all the suspended accounts reinstated so the figures on the front page are a more accurate depiction of our site. So far, we've gotten better than 500 of them to start reading ads and clicking links again. Hoping we can get the site back to expiring 50k hit ads again in less than 2 mos.
