its got spyware, it changed my registry, hijacked my homepage, and all my IE security levels were all high.

This is the first time I found a good reason to complain on this forum. Finally a real complaint, short and sweet. Thank you.

Hmmm, are you sure it is that site, and not another that causes the issue.

I just looked at it couldnt find anything to show there was is anything spyware about it. Unless they changed it between the time of your post and now.

What is the capability of a spyware?

Basically to track your movements across the internet, which is where programs such as Adaware come in handy. Mainly advertising companies use them to track what sites you goto to 'better' their advertisements directed to you.

Jaik, it is a hijacker. I had all my bells and whistles on when that one came down, and it did change my homepage, attach my registry, etc. ad nauseum.

My Adaware didn't even pick it up.

This crap is getting ridiculous!!

Please post here if you know how to get rid of it! I changed my homepage back..but is it doing anything else to my pc?

Well, as I said, it didnt change mine when I went there. Mine is still pointing to the same homepage I have always had it set at. Guess I have my security set so it doesnt...

I don't recall ever seeing that site before I opened my browser! I'm thinking that some other site had something on it that set it to point to that! We all visit soo many sites daily though..that unless someone comes out and confesses to doing it..we'll never know what site it came from..huh?

I'm just worried about the spyware thing...is that what it is? Are my cookies in danger of some sneaky person eating them? lol If not...then it's all good..no harm done except for the 2 secs it took to reset my browser!

I'm probably just paranoid! lol
