I don't think they are talking about members who don't use paid to sign up offers

They are talking about cheaters who are claiming signup credit without joining thru their sign up offers page.

Thing is when search emails are sent out, they are 95% of the time clearly marked as being one. Now people that are just clicking on the link to get credit for it, then not bothering to search, arent helping the sites out.

Now, deleting accounts for not making a valid search, that in my book shouldnt be happening, reason for this is that nearly all the search sites only allow you to make 1 or 2 searches maximum every 24 hours. Now think of how many sites send out emails for searching, you tend to do your favorite sites first before going to any others. So by the time you reach other sites, you want to help, so you make a search, it unfortuantly comes up invalid due to this reason.

That's true Jaikula

But unless it is in their TOS that you must search, you are suppose to be paid for reading the email not completing a search. I have never deleted anyone on CentsableMail for not doing a search. If you READ the email then you have done all that is required.

i agree with jaikula too....... there are even emails like......

only 30% of the people make a valid search, please make a valid search and if the results is 70% or higher, I will raise the paid link to (let's say 0.5cent).....

Yep, and forcing people to search, well, most search sites dont allow that to happen either. Forcing is incentive.

All the sites I am with dont force people to search, hehe, I think I dropped two sites that did that a while back.

Doing that is incentive, sure hope they arent running a search link that is hooked to a search site that doesnt allow incentive searching... ab.gif

That is what I have thought..
"begging" is already incentive, but "Forcing" is the worst thing to do....

but I do understand WMs.
They need money to run their site,or they will have to shut down their site ad.gif

IMO,WMs need to find some other way to generate profit from their site to pay their members instead of being totally dependent on search earnings.

That is my worry.ah.gif I am lacking in good ideas ao.gif

maybe they should take overture search engines that pay even without users clicking on the search results........

that will be a better choice i think..... hahahha

Remember that advice parents used to give their kids?

"If you ignore a bully, he will eventually leave you alone."

Maybe if we simply ignore the E22 bullying, he will go away.
Any program that relys almost solely on searches to stay alive shouldn't be in business anyway (unless of course it is a SEARCH program).

I am quitting......this one. I am not going to participate in a program where I am bullied into anything.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T....find out what it means to me.

amen.

it worries me when a webmaster seems desperate to get people to do searches. i wonder if they'll ever be able to pay all their members if they're that anxious about search revenue.

I agree.

A program should not have to rely only on searches to stay alive.

I do searches ocassionally when I have time, but the majority of links I click are the regular links. If I do click a search link, I do a search of course.

It would certainly not be acceptable to me to join a program that requires me to make a certain percentage of searches.

I'm also not sure how long the search programs themselves can keep this up, after all these incentivized searches are not making THEIR customers happy. After all, when doing a search and clicking on a listing, do we buy anything from any site we clicked through via the search? Do we sign up for anything? Most probably not. We want get our credit at the GPTR site. We are not actually looking for anything, and we are therefore the wrong target audience. That's why many search programs now don't accept incentivized searches any longer. It simply does not serve their clients.

On a general note I agree that no program should send out rude messages, for whatever reason. There is a way to speak and there is a way to speak. To all program owners who lately send out messages like 'I will no longer accept rude emails and member sending these will be removed' I have only one reply : Me neither, and I have saved you time and already removed myself (even though I never send you a rude email)'. Of course I don't send them an email, I just remove myself. I have made a rule for myself to follow up on a program's owners messages, on how he addresses his members, customer service etc, before I start advertising at the program, purchasing gold membership, or getting referrals.
