Remember that advice parents used to give their kids?
"If you ignore a bully, he will eventually leave you alone."
Maybe if we simply ignore the E22 bullying, he will go away.
Any program that relys almost solely on searches to stay alive shouldn't be in business anyway (unless of course it is a SEARCH program).
I am quitting......this one. I am not going to participate in a program where I am bullied into anything.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T....find out what it means to me.
amen.
it worries me when a webmaster seems desperate to get people to do searches. i wonder if they'll ever be able to pay all their members if they're that anxious about search revenue.
I agree.
A program should not have to rely only on searches to stay alive.
I do searches ocassionally when I have time, but the majority of links I click are the regular links. If I do click a search link, I do a search of course.
It would certainly not be acceptable to me to join a program that requires me to make a certain percentage of searches.
I'm also not sure how long the search programs themselves can keep this up, after all these incentivized searches are not making THEIR customers happy. After all, when doing a search and clicking on a listing, do we buy anything from any site we clicked through via the search? Do we sign up for anything? Most probably not. We want get our credit at the GPTR site. We are not actually looking for anything, and we are therefore the wrong target audience. That's why many search programs now don't accept incentivized searches any longer. It simply does not serve their clients.
On a general note I agree that no program should send out rude messages, for whatever reason. There is a way to speak and there is a way to speak. To all program owners who lately send out messages like 'I will no longer accept rude emails and member sending these will be removed' I have only one reply : Me neither, and I have saved you time and already removed myself (even though I never send you a rude email)'. Of course I don't send them an email, I just remove myself. I have made a rule for myself to follow up on a program's owners messages, on how he addresses his members, customer service etc, before I start advertising at the program, purchasing gold membership, or getting referrals.
