Hi,

I have not been a member at Tesa's for over a year(I believe) now. Out of the blue, in the last 24 hours, I have been receiving tons of emails(paid mails for members) from the site. Is there any way to get them to stop coming to me?

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to hazard a guess here. It could be that your account was suspended and never canceled. If that is the case, the emails are probably coming to you as a nudge for you to take some kind of action, to either get active or log in and cancel your account on your profile or user info page. I was inactive for quite some time last year, and I suddenly began receiving emails to my personal email account. If you want to cancel, just log in and go to your profile. The cancel button is at the bottom of the page. I will be sorry to see one less member here. Did you have a problem here that someone might be able to help you with? Lydia

Here's what happened. A while back, after I canceled a bunch of clickers (rather than ad readers) who'd clicked too many cheat links the site got hit with DDoS attacks. Rather than close the site, our host came up with the idea to change the names of some pages so the site would still work but the disgruntled clicker couldn't get to us. That worked for a little while and we had to change again. On the 3d change, the attacks stopped and we went back to regular business. Problem with it was that either not all members got the message to edit the names of some of their pages or they didn't know what I meant when I told them what to do, they were unable to access the areas of the site they needed access to and thousands went inactive as a result.

So, recently, we went back to the real names for the pages and I've been unsuspending ther accounts and sending emails in hopes of getting them to come back to us. The ones whose account was set to Inbox Only would never know about this so as I manually unsuspend each of the 2400 accounts that were still here, I change the email delivery such that members would know we're still here and could again access the site. The way I did it was to set all the accounts, as I get to them, to Inbox and email delivery.

So far, it seems to be working as we now have 2500+ members as opposed to just under 2000 a couple weeks ago. Sure hope I'm up to the task when we get back up to 4-5 thousand members increasing my workload. Hope so.

Thanks for the explanation, Ron. As I was noticing that my account had only been suspended back in July from the records here, and not deleted.

I will do what needs to be done to take care of this on my end.

Thanks.

Sure do hope the action you take is to read and click rather than cancel your account as the place hasn't been the same without you.

Well the first thing I did was set the account to inbox only as not to overload my email account.

I then did click at least one link since I noticed that I have 7c in my account and still have a couple of members in my downline.
