At GetPaidForum we do all we can to protect you and your member account here however there are some things we cannot do, but you yourself can do to protect your account and fellow members.

1. PLEASE use a different password at getpaidforum than anywhere else
2. Make your password a random assortment of numbers & letters
3. Also do the same with the e-mail address you use at GetPaidForum. If you lose control of your email account, anyone can request a new password for your account.
4. Be particularly careful when using webmail services where you can request a password by answering a secret question. Use a very difficult secret question where nobody except you will know the answer.
5. Never access your E-gold/Paypal/IntGold/Moneybookers or any other online currency account from a e-mail link. Always log in straight from the website.
6. Avoid doing exchanges with people who you do not know or trust (searching previous exchange threads or references is always a good idea before making a deal with anyone!) And do not under any circumstances make exchanges through PM.

We also recommend that you install the following on your computer:

1. Anti-virus software (Don't forget to update it regularly!)
2. Firewall software
3. Adware and Spyware removal software to prevent any third party cookies/keyloggers to be installed in your machine.
(And don't forget to run them frequently!)

Accounts are usually not hacked, usually passwords are guessed or taken from other sites (You would be surprised how many use the same password at gpf as they do for their paypal, egold, gptr sites etc.) This is a big issue and you need to do everything possible to avoid your account being hacked into and suspended, your payment systems broken into and other members losing out because of this,
