The time has come and I will be closing Wandering Elf Emails on December 31, 2008. I have not had the time that this site deserves for quite awhile now and know that something needs to change. I will be maintaining Charmed Ideas, but chose to close Wandering Elf Emails because the membership base and advertising revenue is much smaller. This is entirely my fault for not putting forth the time and effort to ensure Wandering Elf Emails' success (but I simply do not have the time anymore).

There are some options available to you as members:

1. If you are a member of Charmed Ideas you may elect to simply have your earnings transferred to your account at that site.

2. If you are not a member of Charmed Ideas but would like to be and have your earnings transferred to your account there you are free to join Charmed Ideas and I will transfer your earnings to your account there.

3. If you have an upgrade here I can offer a commensurate upgrade at Charmed Ideas.

4. If you have an upgrade at both sites, we can negotiate a suitable upgrade at Charmed Ideas.

5. If you don't want to join Charmed Ideas or do not want to have your balance transferred, do nothing (but remain active) and you will be paid your balance as soon as possible after December 31st. You may request to have your balance paid at any time by emailing me, but please, if you request your balance please delete your account following payout.

Finally for members who have purchased an upgrade since January 2008, you will be reimbursed at the following rates:

Purchased between January and March reimbursed at 25%
Purchased between April and June reimbursed at 50%
Purchased between July and September reimbursed at 75%
Purchased after October reimbursed at 100%

This does not apply to upgrades won or redeemed.

Advertising:

Advertising will continue to be processed at Wandering Elf Emails until December 15, 2008. After that time I will begin moving all advertising with clicks/views left to Charmed Ideas to be completed (I will start with PTSU, then manual surf, then banners, then PTCs and finally any email advertising left).

In the event that our membership declines to zero prior to December 31st, I will close the site at that time.

It's sad to read about WEE closing as it was one of my favourite sites mainly because you are one of the nicest person I've ever encountered in this industry. I want to thank you for making my tenure as a member of your site, a pleasurable experience.

Yes, that's what I mean. I am going to edit the above post right now. This has been a little bit stressful for me but so far I think things are working out and everyone will have a satisfactory closing on this either getting their balance paid or transferring to Charmed Ideas, etc...

One thing that I know and have always said, I will never sell a site. There are too many fly-by-nighters out there right now to try to compete with while trying to run an honest and paying program that is enjoyable for everyone involved.

Why don't you just concider selling the program instead and keep it active? There are way to many honest programs that are shutting down compared to how many scams open per day. There has to be a way to keep it open as an honest program

Just coming in with an update.

The site is now closed and I am working on the payouts.

selling is not an option for several reasons:

1) There are already way too many PTR programs out there/the market is flooded
2) Sale to a "honest" owner just cannot be guaranteed, and then what happens after that, I see programs sold and resold and given away every day...
3) In the event that someone not so scrupulous came into ownership of the program that I owned and operated for four years my name would be unavoidably linked to any unsavory actions

All in all, it's just not worth the trouble and heartache.

I am sorry to see WEE go, but the retirement of WEE gives me more time to focus on CI and try to make that the best program possible.
