I wanted to pass along a company that I recently learned about that will recycle your used electronics easily and FOR FREE. They even pay to ship them away for you! And in doing so, you'll be recycling and also helping a local children's hospital as the recycling company then donates a value for each item back to the hospital.

Here's the deal. You simply go online and tell them what you have (for instance, using drop down menus, I indicated I had an LG Cingular phone, model CG 225).

They then provide you with a printable pre-paid shipping label (they pay for shipping, not you), you print it up, pack up the item and ship it off, for free. They will take care of cleaning it off, recycling dead batteries if needed, and then donate the value of the phone (or other electronic item) back to the hospital. Whole thing took less than 2 minutes.

Here's a link if you need to get rid of some electronics. Looks like they accept cell phones, mp3s, CPUs, laptops, conputer monitors and flat screen (plasma or LCD) TVs.

Happy cleaning! And feel free to pass the link along.
