Barack Obama is the president of the United States of America!

AWESOME.. although I'm not American or even live close to America, i pulled an all nighter just so i can watch it live.. i finally went to bed at 7:30 AM after watching Obama's speech.

Well, not quite - Bush is still president for a few more months.


But he will be and it will be historic that a black man is being sworn in as the US president.


I think it was time for a change in the US, we have had republican rule for 8 years, things need to change sides every now and then to help keep the balance so I am glad Obama won.

I told my daughter she needs to buy a copy of today's newspaper with the headlines about Obama and put it up to save, and the same with the day he is sworn in - they will be worth a lot of money one day and can pay for my granddaughter's college.

Honestly, after he's announcing all these social programs today it isn't a good thing.
