Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that
read 'Vote Obama, I need the money.' I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a 'Obama 08' tie, again I
laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine
the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to
him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept.
He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to
redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the
homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the
server inside as I 've decided he could use the money more. The
homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I
realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn,
but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn
even though the actual recipient needed money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in
concept than in practical application.

I am not sure if this was a good example of redistribution of wealth... as the waiter is not at the top of the wealth pyramid either.

On the other hand, did Barack Obama ever say that applying 'change' would come so easily?

When you drive around, you might have noticed Apartment Owners supporting Obama...

The reason is, they know if he give you 500(per person) is like a 1 Bed room, and $1,000 for a two bed room Tax rebate...

They know they can raise your rent 41.00 for a one bed room and 83.00 for a 2 bed room + and they will gain on the "your rebate" as they know you can afford to pay it.

"good example of redistribution of wealth"

Better? Rich still get richer, poor still get poor ae.gif Just Don't tell anyone who supports Obama that.

**note, pending state laws on the amount apartments can raise rents, may take 2-3 years to price in the "Obama" rebate.

For proof of the above, find yourself a publicly traded REIT and see if they are talking about raising apartment "rents"... Iret is one example.

The theory is not completly scientific but its worth trying cause distribution
of wealth is very essential. There a large no homeless and poor people we need to
decrease their no.

Here are the exit polls. The percentage of poor voters showed a huge decrease in 2004 while the percentage of folks making over 200,000 doubled, doubled. Here are the particulars. In 2004 8% of the electorate earned 15% or less. That dropped to 6% in 2008. That's a 25% decline. In 2004 15% made between 10 and $30,000. That dropped to 12%. That's a 20% decline. In 2004 23% made $30,000 or less. That dropped to 18% in 2008, a 22% decline. In 2004 11% made $100 to $150,000. That rose to 14%, a 27% increase. In 2004 4% made $150,000 to $200,000. That rose 6%, a 50% increase. In 2004 3% made over $200,000. That rose 6% this year, a 100% increase. In 2004 18% of people who went out to vote made $100,000 or more. That rose 26% in 2008, in 44% increase. Add it up. When you look at it from an income perspective, voters did pretty well over the last four years. You wouldn't think that, would you?

Redistribution of wealth is unjust and unfair. Helping people is fun. Being forced to help people is wrong. I want to make a lot of money this year but why when I'm already taxed up the nose at least 45% by sales, state, and federal? And then he wants to raise it more if I end up making more? How is that fair and just? It's just wrong.

It's good that we are "forced" to help people. What if no one helped people voluntarily? A charity near me shut down because of lack of funds and it was a great charity.
