Where and what advertising I should buy for my gpt info site. Do you get any results with rotators or traffic exchanges? Where are the cheapest prices? Also, are banner impressions worth the money if you use custom made banner?

Hi,

From my personal experience I didn't have much luck with custom pages pretty much anywhere (I tried both PTRs and traffic exchanges). Especially don't expect results if your page looks like (or is) a blog or a typical splash page. Do some surfing and see what most people use and then make something different. ae.gif Not an easy thing to do but better take some time to think about it, rather than losing time with a page similar to most other in the surfing session.

But I had some REALLY nice results with custom made banners. Make it clear and clean. Try to put the most important info in capitals ab.gif and try to make it look decent. Custom made banners work almost anywhere. For example this banner in my signature (made by myself ab.gif be.gif ) got 69 hits for 13,000 views at one TE and over 70 hits per 10,000 views at one PTR which I'm quite satisfied with. Here I must say this- you can get loads of hits on your banner but just a few refs so it would be best if you promoted a program that's not too popular (not everyone is already a member) but is good and has something special that will make people want to sign up. (You can make an outstanding banner for Neobux and run it just about everywhere but I doubt you'll get any results or for some crappy program nobody will be interested in, you know what I mean)...

This was long, sorry about that.

I would love to hear your experience as well as somebody else's who's into custom made promotion tools aa.gif

206.gif for your reply

The site I'm going to promote has not-so-normal design and different program types which might help getting attention. Each program type has only 1-5 programs, people usually hate long lists without any useful information of the programs.

My custom banner ads are usually have good-looking background with small text on it. Text is small, because then I can explain what the site is about. Usually I add a little animation to the banner for attention, it's not too annoying and it might look more attractive. This tactic has worked out pretty well, I got about 30 referrals for 5$ spent on banner impressions. Those referrals ended up being useless, because site was scam :x.

Also, do you guys know any upgrade which gives good amount of ads every month?

I'm from Finland, my English isn't perfect ap.gif
