Is anyone else having problems here. I can log in but when I go to the inbox and click on a link I get:

503 Service Unavailable
No server is available to handle this request.

I think that the server might have been down for a bit this morning. I received a few e-mails about it and had an hours worth of cron errors after that. Everything seems to be running correctly now.

p.s. Could this be moved over to the My-PTR.com support folder? Thanks!

I believe the site was not available 24 hours ago.

I was running 4 My-PTR affiliate pages (including one for myself) at EasyHits4U - EasyHits4U usually pays much attention to what is shown on their site. All of them were rejected yesterday. Reason: site did not load - or something of the kind. So I had to submit 4 other pages.

Hi Papy,

Thanks for letting me know. It figures that this happens during one of the rare times that I was away from my computer for more than 24 hours. I just subscribed to a free uptime monitoring service so that I can determine if a change of host is necessary. I was ready to switch in June, but then all of the issues were resolved so I didn't make any moves.

Hi Heather,

According to a variation of Murphy's law, things usually go wrong when you are away, even only for a couple of days.

But it was not serious this time, I guess. When I discovered yesterday that My-PTR was blocked at EasyHits4U, the site (My-PTR) was already available. So the break-down hopefully did not last too long.

Cheers,
Papy

It was really weird as I could see everything but when I clicked on the ads I got the problems. I wondered if it was my stupid computer.

When in doubt blame the computer, when things are really dire blame the server. Never the fault of us humans of course.

I had the same problem this morning but like yesterday it is back to normal. Very odd.

Hey, your computer was innocent.

I had the same problem three days ago or so, when Heather was still away. It was impossible to open any of the messages in the site inbox. But the problem lasted only a few hours, and got settled by itself. I believe the script is endowed with a "self-reparation" function.

Cheers,

I informed my host about the specifics on this issue (error message, times that it has been happening) and they said that they would leave a message for the overnight shift to monitor it during those times.

If anyone hears about anyone not being able to access the site, please direct them to this forum or to e-mail me at admin@my-ptr.com. I really don't want anyone to think that the site is gone because of the firewall blocking them. I have no intentions of ever giving up the site and hate the thought that this server error may make people think that I've gone away.

Thank you!!

Heather
