Liverpool are by far the most successful team from England

We've won more League Championships - 18 in total - more than anyone else
more European Cups (now known as the Champions League) - 4 in total - than any British team
more UEFA Cups - 3 in total - than any British team and bags more other trophies

well, about the Liverpool from Uruguay, they are not the worst neither the best. They were in the 2nd division last year but it is not very common to see them in the second division because they are usually from the middle table and up.

I just can't understand anyone that says they like other teams, to me, you support your own team (preferably from your home town) and no one else!

I came from Manchester, but I have Dutch blood in me.. and that's why I support PSV, because I have family in Eindhoven, and I spent some time there.

As for Celtic - I have to admit, I'm just a fan of Martin O'Neill, and the football they play at Celtic.

I don't see how Gerard Houllier and Arsene Wenger got MBEs or OBEs (I forget which).. and O'Neill didn't.. because as a manager, I think ther'e not much to separate them. Indeed, I'd probably have O'Neill down as better than Wenger.

But Beckham isn't an OBE or whatever is he? No, I agree he doesn't deserve one. I just don't think Houllier, Wenger do either. Ferguson didn't deserve a knighthood, maybe an MBE/OBE because of a legacy of success. However Houllier and Wenger are still "one-hit"wonders, in that they have only been with their clubs for a short (comparatively) time.

I've got no problem with rewarding Houllier/Wenger after a bit longer, and we've been able to assess things a bit better over a longer time period.

Paisley was before my time, so I decline to comment, I don't know.

that's my favorite too! i haven't followed english football since about 1998. we don't get it on tv here, at least not on any regular basis. i used to have the biggest crush on steve macmanaman (omg, did i spell that right?). best game i ever went to was in l'pool, against middlesborough (sheesh, did i spell that one right?) it was so loud. we were only in the 3rd row, and steve made eye contact with me! yeah, it's not really about the football for me, is it?
