Had a look at those urls to see who they were from.
Yup hit the sign up link to that portal. This is what I seen less the **.

They're designed to do autosearches invisibly when the cosplay PTP page loads... not worthless to the person who owns the account if the rest of us are enlisted to search for them for free without us even knowing it. The code looks like it's been cleaned up today and I only see the portal loading in 0 iframes, but the other day there was a badly coded bot search script running and killing my browser.

It's on the actual PTP page, not running in the rotator and not coming from a 3rd party ad.

I do not think I would like the auto hits going to my portals. They would shut down soooooo fast. Do you think that domain is going to be a hit?

The autohits are not going to the portals. Cosplaymail put the code on their ptp page so that when we load the page the search engine does the searches. Cosplaymail makes the money out of us without us knowing!!

Err the owner put the junk on the site. I just clicked another ptp link for this site and it is really really nasty now

In my opinion these programs would not survive or not put this junk on their pages if other WM's would actually learn how to check these pages and when they are told if they don't know how to check they would stop all ads from all these sites that have these searches on them. If it does not get seen then why would they put it there.

My suggestion is for every single member that see's these sites listed in forums to report to the WM of the site they belong to and see the advertising on , report it them what cosplay and other sites are doing, and send this link to this thread and other threads. A little education goes a long way. bj.gif

It seems to me that a PO should know about frames, it's becoming more or less common knowledge. Frames can be used for good as well as bad purposes. I would think if they don't know it's on their page then they need to take a class in web design 101.Of course it seems as though they would love to say oh my gosh i didn't know that was on my site, but if it's not in an advertisers ad sent in versus on the main site page or their ptp page, then most likely they are aware of it's existence.Frames are not a new item it's years old. I know if I was a PO I would frequently visit GPF, just too make sure any issues involving a site I owned (which I don't) were addressed asap. I recently spoke with a PO that said an unhappy exposed cheater threatened to come here and slander their site, that comment made me realize just how powerful GPF really is.
