The hosting expired and they shut the site down. I am considering paying for a month's worth of hosting to get it back up, but then it would go down again, because i don't have full access to the account.

That is a hard situation to be in. I am guessing you are a manager or part owner of the site by your statement. Is there any way to get in touch with the person who has the hosting account and get access to it fully? I hate to see sites fade into the fog ya know.

Well, as i stated in the admin message, Tiffany has been out of touch for well over a month. I am simply the admin, running the site in the background, which wasn't supposed to get out, but dire situations require desperate measures. I don't have access to the control panel, just the admin to do the site stuff, keep the ads going and whatnot.
I have been desperately trying to get ahold of Tiffany to see if i can buy the site or something from her, and continue running it as it has been run since it started. But it's not looking good. She doesn't answer her phone or return voice messages.
I am concerned about her health, since she was considering a very dangerous surgery, that can have potential side effects of a very unpleasant nature, even kill if it's not done exactly as it's supposed to be done.
i can't exactly take over the site without her, because i'd need the domain name and such turned over to me as well, and that's a bit of a ruckus. I'm considering sending out a certified letter this week to see who picks it up and if she answers it. I have offered to buy the site, but i am not getting anywhere trying to talk to her at this point.
I am really on the fence on this one, guys.... let me know what you would want me to do and i'll see what i can do.
In the meantime, tomorrow i'll pay for a month's hosting to keep it up that long, so we can at least run our ads and have time to redeem for what we can redeem for.
If she doesn't answer me at all though, and the month goes by without any word, you're welcome to join my site. At least there, you know you'll get paid and i have full control of that site. It's even got ptp.

a prior post said the domain has expired if that is the case than you have another problem and paying a month of hosting wont help. do the certified mail and see what happens. Try emailing the host and explaining the situation so they are aware and don't purge the site from the server.

Sorry. The thread is titled "Alphamails.com" and the OP referred to "Alphamails.com" in the opening post.

well, they'll let me pay for hosting and such, but they won't let me in the control panel or anything like that. So, i can get the site back online temporarily tomorrow (today), but it will only be for a while, because until we hear something from Tiffany, I can't take over the site. Soon as i get the site back online, i'll get her full address and send a certified letter, requesting she contact me asap. If she chooses to ignore the letter, then there's nothing i can do further besides extend the site for one more month.

The site is up again.
If the owner is so hard to contact, it doesn't look as if she has much interest in the site or it's members, which is sad as the program is only just over 3 months old. Can you imagine a real-life business owner disappearing and leaving someone in charge who does not have the necessary means to fully run the business and pay employees?
I just hope your efforts are not in vain, as keeping the site running is adding to members' earnings that they may not be able to redeem. Keep in mind that not everyone wants to advertise.

Thanks for letting us know about Alphamails. I do hope you can reach Tiffany and find out if she is ok or not and also about buying the site. You would think she would just give it to you if she isn't planning on running it her self. I guess that isn't how things work though.
