Just thought I'd take time to let you know that another cheater bites
the dust. This is a fairly long email, so hold on tight and enjoy the
ride.

The fellow, code named "archermax" racked up nearly 2300 clicks in less
than a week and then requested payment. As you know from looking at the
Terms of Service (http://gregspaidlinks.com/terms.html) I have up to 45
days to pay by E-gold.

The reason I take several days to pay by ANY method is to make sure the
advertisers have gotten what they have paid for.

In case you've lost sight of what this is about...it's about
advertising your product or opportunity to "pre-qualified" people. In the
marketing game, the whole world is called "suspects" and the type of members
we have are called "prospects".

The idea with a PTC or PTR site is to make sure you're offering your
product or opportunity to prospects, not suspects.

Unfortunately, many members have lost site of that.

For example, this "archermax" jerk.

When he requested payment, my answer to him was this:

>Hi....I took a look at your earning information this morning
>and I've got some bad news....
>
>Here's what's in the database:
>
>Earnings Information on (archermax)
>
>Referral Link Clicks: 1
>Referrals Made: 0
>
>Banner Image Clicks by Him/Her: 1385
>Text Link Clicks by Him/Her: 901
>
>Total Earnings Since Joining: $11.4302
>Earnings Currently Owed to Him/Her: $11.4302
>Earnings Already Paid to Him/Her: $0
>
>Unfortunately, this information leads me to believe there are
>two possibilities here.
>
>One possibility is that you missed (or didn't understand) the
>part that says "There is a limit of one click on each banner
>per day." If you just missed it, please let me know and I'll go
>reset your click information and you can start over knowing that
>you are allowed only one click per day on each link and banner.
>If you just didn't understand that line, please let me know so
>I can discuss whether or not you understand English. According
>to the Terms of Service (http://gregspaidlinks.com/terms.html)
>you must be able to understand English to be a member. If this
>is the case, please let me know.
>
>The other possibility is that you're cheating intentionally.
>If this is the case, please just delete your account and save
>me the trouble. Remember, this site has a "Zero Tolerance for
>Cheating" policy. I am within my rights as it stands to simply
>delete your account right now and let this serve as your final
>notice. I am giving you a chance to explain this though.

>Also, please pass along to me the day you joined the site as a
>member.

>Thanks,

Notice in my answer how I gave this person every chance in the world? I
try to do that, because I respect my members and my advertisers. After
several days, here's the answer I got (I have censored the MANY
expletives):

>>MY FINAL ANSWER TO YOU,
>>
>>DIDNT YOU SEE THAT I EMAIL YOU IN ENGLISH, SO HOW COME YOU SAY
>>THAT I DONT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH, SECOND, I AM NOT INTERESTED IN
>>MAKING 1 OR 2 CENT A DAY, THIRD IS I SEE THAT YOUR STUPID SYSTEM
>>IS SHOWING EARNINGS MADE,AS 11 DOLLAR, NO KIDDING THAT I CLICKED
>>THIS MUCH BECAUSE YOUR TRICKEY SYSTEM WAS SHOWING EARNINGS MADE
>>THOROUGH CLICKS, I KNOW YOU EARN BY SHOWING YOUR CLIENT THAT THE
>>USERS CLICKED THIS MUCH TIME, AND YOU ARE TELLING ME "A CLICK A
>>DAY", SO DONT F*CK WITH PEOPLE, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS CHEATING,
>>JUST DELETE MY G*D D*M ACCOUNT, AND BUY SOME DONUTS WITH MY 11
>>DOLLARS OF 2000+ CLICKS, AND BY THE WAY DONT CHEAT PEOPLE, MAKE
>>A SYSTEM WHICH SHOWS REAL EARNINGS MADE BY CLICKS.MAKE IT FOOL
>>PROOF, DONT LEAVE IT LIKE THAT INTENTIALLY, BECAUSE YOU ARE THE
>>ONE WHO IS TELLING ME THAT GREG'S PAID LINKS OWE ARCHER
>>11.4302$ , SO WHO IS A CHEATER WELL WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT
>>MAKES IF I CLICK SAME SH*T DAILY OR THOUSAND TIMES A DAY,
>>THE DIFFERENCE IS YOU EARNED BY SHOWING YOUR CLIENT THAT YOUR
>>BANNER IS CLICKED THIS MUCH TIMES SO F*CK OFF AND NO THANKS
>>I AM NOT INTERESTED IN SH*T.

The funniest thing about this is that the only English this jerk could
spell or write correctly was the cuss words. (Although I'm the same way
in Danish and Spanish <smiley>).

Keep in mind, I do my level best to make sure the ADVERTISERS get the
value they pay for. Compensating the members is my way of saying thank
you for allowing me the opportunity to connect you with an advertiser.

By the way, the member in question deleted his account and is no doubt
thrashing me at GetPaidForum right now. Oh well. If you're a member of
that forum and like what I'm doing, please take time to defend me if
you run across this stuff.

If you've read this far, you're obviously an honest hardworking member
and I appreciate you.

ah... so you're greg??

wait... you said there was a limit of one banner click per day... does this mean every 24 hours, or every "day"??

does the site still credit you if you click on it more than once a day???

Sometimes I do this with kayspaidemails by mistake, but luckily the site doesn't credit me if i click on it more than once... which is a relief because I don't want to be labelled a cheat....

It was a different story with this cheater.

It was obvious to the webmaster that this person were cheating.
There is no way that this person clicked only one banner per day.
1385 clicks daily would mean that this person has been a member for 46 months.
GregsPaidLinks has not been around that long.
It was more like he was clicking 24 - 46 banners per day.
It was an Obvious cheater. Webmasters can tell who is cheating.

How is it possible for a member to click so many times?
matois
I don't want any one to disclose any potential flaws in a system, but how could he rack up that many clicks if the banners are set to only credit once per day/24hours?

I think Greg's got the same or near same scripts as AYS used to and I believe Moonlit Submit had/has. Makes it possible to click more than once in a day.

I'm more apt to wonder why Greg won't change his scripts over to the better ones, and stop all that. Most likely, he'll keep getting these same problems as long as the scripts allow it.

AND FOR THE STUPID LAZY ROTTEN CHEATERS, NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE...GET A FRIKKIN LIFE WILL YA??!! Quit abusing the systems. YOU ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO ARE DUMB. THE WEBMASTERS AND THE MEMBERS ALIKE ARE AFTER EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU LOWLIFES. GIVE IT UP.

There, that feels better aa.gif

It's obvious he didnt like getting caught. If you have always had it in your terms, and I know a lot of sites have it that you can only click one link per day (a day in this industry is a 24 hour period from the time you clicked it the last time) in the terms.

But perhaps a script which only shows what banners/links are available to be clicked on will help leviate this problem of cheats such as this.

But it's good to see you are a deligent WM, it's also good to see you have posted this up here, specially if this guy now comes to complain on this forum about it ab.gif

nope I'm NOT Greg...just member of the site that doesn't want to see another site I joined go down the tubes...and HATES cheaters....was I wrong to post this....I don't think so....this person maybe being trying to cheat on other sites and I don't want others to have to deal with him/her!

Hi,

I'm the Greg in question. You're right, I'm currently using the same scripts as Moonlight Submit and AYS, although I am hoping to upgrade to CC scripts soon.

That not withstanding, the member in question clicked the links an average of 400 times a minute, based on the tracking logs. When I send stuff out to the general membership, I try not to reveal too much information about tracking capabilities and script vulnerabilities, so I indicated "less than a week" when in reality is was just short of 6 minutes.

That's an obvious click-bot at work. And believe me, there have been click-bots around for the iPhat scripts since about 2 days after they were released.

I have to say thanks again to all my honest members, and especially to TheMOM, who started this in my defense. I really appreciate her efforts and the more I learn, the more thankful I am to have her as a member of my site.

Thanks also to everyone else in the forum for their inputs.

The script is the problem not the archer
Brian11007
i agree with mcf... if you dont want a banner clicked on more than one time, then make a script to make it dissapear so they won't get credit again...
