Not Obama -- he said, during the Democratic debate, that he would invade Pakistan without the permission of the President of Pakistan, if he thought Osama Bin Laden was in Pakistan, (so nothing will CHANGE there, to use his favorite word!). I know several people who live in Pakistan and they are concerned about Obama getting the presidency; most of the middle east is hoping that Hillary will get the nomination, she wants to stop the war.

If it comes down to:

McCain - Obama, my vote goes to McCain
McCain - Clinton, my vote goes to Clinton

Obama is the senator of Illinois, I live in that state and I have done enough research on Obama, Lord help us all!

NOTE: Obama fashions his speeches after the Pres of Iran, Ahmadinejad’s presidential Slogan
check out this link: Iran-resist Obama's American Way!!! Guess he found a way to display his patriotism, since flag-waving, wearing the flag lapel pin, and putting your hand over your heart during the National Anthem, is, in his own words, "icky", and he quit wearing his flag pin after 9/11, WHAT A PATRIOT!!!

Huckleberry Finn and Obama both scare the hell out of me. The former has publicly stated he wants to rewrite the constitution placing Yahweh at the centre - a theocratic Iran is scary, imagine how much scarier a theocratic US would be - the latter has made some terrifying remarks about Pakistan, as has already been some said.

Worse, I spent some time in the US recently, and talking to people there I do not think the electorate is mature enough for a female president. The feeling I got from them was that the location of her husbands penis several years ago is far more important than any actual policies she may or may not have, which might just rule her out.

I know nothing of McCain, despite him being the senate of the state I were in. Either there is nothing particularly bad about him, or he is so bad that even the state that elected him have no particular interest.

All I can say is I hope you prove me wrong about Hilary.

Jizzy
I think Barrack Obama is going to be president of the USA.
I am excited for America and the rest of the world.

Hope Barack or Hilary wins aa.gif

Well our choices are quite poor since Kucinich dropped out. He rocked!
Any of the candidates are a big improvement from Bush though bz.gif

Edited to say: I have a feeling that Obama will be our new president.

I think it will be Obama. But I disagree with the statement that any candidate will be an improvement over Bush. He was terrible for sure, but I don't see any of these candidates being any better.

Personally I was thinking of writing in Jimmy Buffett. I have a Jimmy Buffett for president bumper sticker that my best friend brought me from Key West a few years ago - maybe it's time to get it out.

Actually I am a Libertarian and don't vote for either democrats or republicans.
cherylwaldrop
I think it will be Obama.
He's the only candidate who's been allowed to apologize for his mistakes and be forgiven. Traditionally, this has happened only with candidates who were elected.
I don't like our choices, but then I never do.
I believe that Obama will be extremely bad for the U.S. and we'll regret electing him.

jsitko
I agree our choice are not good at all. I am a democrate and I really don't like my choices there one bit.If we can't have a democrate for president then I hope we can get more in the house. It really is about who is in the house more than who is the president, however which one will get us out of the situations we are in right now. I really don't think that any of our choices with stop the war, better our economy, get better health care/social security or anything else.
I really don't trust Obama and I don't think Hilary can handle the job especially when dealing woth other countries. So it looks like Mickey Mouse, oopps, I mean McCain.

This is about who we think will be the next president, not who we want to be the next president.

I don't want Obama - he has an almost cult-like following, which scares me to death.
I certainly don't want Hillary. You'd think she would have learned how to run a presidential campaign by now, after two terms of Bill.
I don't want McCain either.
I don't trust any of them to lead this country out of the mess it's in, as if that could be done in four years.

I predict that whoever's elected, the US is headed for a depression that will make the 30's seem like a cake-walk.

We are far too dependant on technology, most people live in large cities, and don't have the land or knowledge to grow their own food and live self-sufficently.

Times are going to be very, very hard here and soon.

David, no, I certainly don't want Bush back in office. The only Bush who had a lick of sense was Barbara.

My candidate of choice was Ron Paul.

At this point, I'll vote for McCain.

I would prefer a candidate who would pull our troops out of everywhere, bring them home, protect our borders, addresse the ever-growing national debt, homeless rate, unemployment rate, and quit interfering with the affairs of other countries. I'd like to see someone who's idea of how to fix everything isn't raising taxes. (Personally, I'd tax EVERYONE at 10%, no questions, no exemptions, no loopholes. That would be fair to everyone, and it'd generate a ton of tax money from the elite of this country.)
This country has the means to be self-sufficient, and I believe the focus should be on cultivating that first, and helping others if we have the means to do so once the problems we face in the US are solved. There are far too many hungry, homeless, jobless people here and aid to our citizens should be addressed before we send money to other nations.

It's not that i'm against helping others - I just think that charity should begin at home. Most of the people we are 'protecting' and 'helping' hate us and don't want us there in the first place, so why bother?

Hillary and Obama are spendiing so much of their time criticising each other that I don't think they have a clue anymore (if they ever did) what's really in the best interests of the United States. They certainly aren't focusing on the issues - they're spending too much of their time dividing the Democratic party.
McCain isn't stooping to that level, and it's making him look pretty darn good right now compared to those two. At least he has the sense to recognise a good opportunity to shut up. ab.gif

I don't think the next president will be Obama, I think there is a lot of excitement over the fact that for the first time ever a black man has ran for president in the US and made it this far and as a result the media is playing it up for all it's worth. But when it gets down to the wire there are just not enough white people going to vote for a black man to get him elected. I know a lot of people will view that statement as racist but that is the way I feel. The same with Hillary, not enough men would vote for her to get her elected. I think the next president will be John McCann. That is not who I want but that is what I think.

Personally I don't vote for Democrats or Republicans anymore and haven't in a long while. I think both parties are more interested in the party line than in helping the average citizen.

I only vote Libertarian now, it's a matter of principle.

I was still on the fence about who to vote for, but just recently I changed my party affiliation from independent to democrat so I could vote in our primary on May 20th. I always read up on the issues and people when it comes to voting and I am still undecided, but leaning more towards Hillary the more I read and listen. Thanks for asking.

Obama would be the worse president. We are facing an economic slowdown (not a recession), so what does Obama do? he makes a plan that would screw the economy up.

Investment is the second largest factor in measuring the GDP (hint: that measures economic growth), so Obama advocates raising the capital gains tax. That would decrease investment. So he now wants to decrease the second largest factor in economic growth. Already he is showing he is incapable.

He has advocated the raising of the corporate tax. 400 countries in Europe and small parts of Asia were asked if we were to do away with the corporate tax what they would do, they all said they would open up a branch in America or move their HQ to America. Hint: that creates jobs and economic growth. The corporate tax raises the cost of goods, simple supply and demand tells you that when price goes up, consumption goes down. Guess what! The largest factor in GDP is consumption, it is 66%! So Obama wants to stifle consumption as well.

When CEO's of companies are asked why they outsource jobs, they always say its for lower costs. And when asked what drove up the costs where they were originally at, they always say corporate taxes, economic restrictions and unions. Democrats and especially Obama is in favor of all three of those things.

Uneducated people vote for Democrats concerning economic issues.

And ###### vote for Bush or McCain as McCain would be nothing more then 4 more years of the same failure policies as Bush. The uncalled for war would continue and more innocent people would die because Bush's Daddy was threatened by Hussennin. No reason to go to war in my opinion. Oh yes. let us not forget about the oil too. That was another reason for it. bj.gif

You need to educate yourself a little.

I love how you say "the same failure policies as Bush", but yet you could not even think of a single one to mention by name.

Here is a question for you, did Bill Clinton attack Iraq because as you said, "Bush's Daddy was threatened by Hussennin." (Need to get his spelling right in the future, it is Hussein)

If it was about revenge for Bush Sr., why did Clinton attack Iraq? It is almost as if you have never actually educated yourself on the topic.

And OF COURSE, the oil. The blood for oil war. Strange though, America gets 1-3% of its oil from Iraq. Are you saying that we invaded Iraq to get 1-3% of our oil? Did you know Saddam dealt us oil before we invaded as well? So there has been no change. And with us getting all of Iraq's oil, why is gas prices at $4.00? It should be considerably lower if we were just getting all of that Iraqi oil that we "started the war over."

And I guess you also forgot the fact that US lawmakers were pushing the Iraqi government to pash theiroil sharing law. Hint: That law distributes the oil wealth in Iraq amongst the Iraqi people. It was one of the political benchmarks we asked them to complete to show progress.

I found this very interesting news article while I was surfing the net. ax.gif

Bush Impeached?

This is from the Free Press in Columbus, Ohio:

The House of Representatives voted Wednesday, June 11 to send articles of impeachment against President Bush to the Judiciary Committee for review. The impeachment resolution’s sponsor, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, requested a recorded vote on the motion around 3 p.m. Wednesday, and 24 Republicans joined nearly all Democrats in voting to send the impeachment measure to the committee. The motion passed 251-166. Kucinich also introduced articles of Impeachment against Richard Cheney last year (H Res 333).

To those who believe that Impeachment is a waste of time, I offer this quote:

“I don't agree that impeachment divides, and I don't agree that it diverts. ... I do think, however, that the failure to act now, given the litany of abuses and the seriousness of abuses, could simply set the groundwork for future presidents to do the same or worse. If we want to preserve our democracy, then we have to act to hold the President and the Vice President accountable.”
-- Elizabeth Holtzman, four-term Congresswoman, former House Judiciary Committee member, and coauthor, The Impeachment of George W. Bush: A Practical Guide for Concerned Citizens

TWO IMPORTANT REASONS TO IMPEACH:
1) A President under impeachment proceedings cannot grant immunity to others in the executive office, such as Rice, Cheney, Addington, Meiers, Bolton, Rumsfeld, Gonzales, and of course, Karl Rove.
Article 2, Section 2, gives the President the "Power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment." Article 3, Section 2, says, "The trial of all crimes, except in cases of impeachment; shall be by jury.
(Source: www.abanet.org/publiced/impeach2.html)

2) Impeachment may be the only way to prevent this administration from taking military action against Iran. (Establishment media not reporting on this, for more info google search “military action against iran "2008" or http://www.truthout.org/a...

IF YOU SUPPORT IMPEACHMENT, PLEASE CALL JOHN CONYERS at 202-225-3951.
Or call Pelosi, Reid, or your local congressperson via the Capital Hill switchboard 202 224-3121

So what do you think? Should Bush be impeached?

I really do wish that this passes cau8se then he can not protect the others and they have to spill the beans about al the lies and cover-ups. cb.gif

Yes Hillary is gone - which to be honest really surprises me. As much as the democrats loved Bill I thought she would coast to victory riding on his popularity. Even him campaigning for her didn't do the trick. But then again I thought the media coverage was rather slanted, the media clearly loves Obama. I think the true powers that be decided a long time ago that it would be Oback and not Hillary running.
