lol, now that I'm more awake ae.gif

it was bugging me about the correct name/addy so I took another look at the email I received and actually clicked the link. it does indeed lead to paypal with the https. I still don't see any policy updates from 2008 though on the update page ak.gif

I received a notice from Paypal letting me know that they have released or will be releasing account information to the IRS; from what I understood, it was just for US residents who have overseas bank accounts linked to their Paypal accounts. That could be the policy change; I think it happened around mid-January. Of course, I'd still open a new tab and type in the address myself.

if in doubt the safest thing to do is:

1) delete the email without clicking on any links
2) type paypal's url into your browser
3) Log in to your account
4) check the links on the website for updates/new info etc.

If it's a genuine announcement it should be on their website somewhere. This goes for anything to do with any financial institution - delete the email & check yourself!! If in doubt mail their support or ring them to check.

Hope this helps aa.gif

guess that's why I still can't see any update, think someone in there would have figured out North America isn't just one country ai.gif
